"You, you, you..."

Luella scrambled backward, dragging the blanket up to cover herself.

The sky had fallen.

Her jacket was off, and all she had on underneath was her chest binder.

Was last night real, or a dream?

If it was a dream, why was Jimmie here?

Did he see her without her clothes on?

She was done for. She was so totally done for.

"Why are you here?" Luella stared at him, pale-faced, her voice trembling as she demanded an answer.

"You were drunk last night. You clung onto me and wouldn't let go, so I brought you back."

After staying awake all night, Jimmie had fully processed her true identity. Now, he was incredibly calm.

"You brought me back?" Luella swallowed hard, feeling extremely guilty. "You didn't take off my jacket, did you?"

"You threw up and ruined your clothes." Jimmie walked over holding a bowl of hangover soup. His deep gaze locked onto the panicked girl as he spoke unhurriedly. "I just wanted you to sleep more comfortably. I didn't expect you to be..."

"To be what?"

Luella threw off the blanket, snatched a brand-new suit jacket from the side, threw it over her shoulders, and strode toward the door. "Who gave you permission to undress me?"

Jimmie remained silent, obediently taking the scolding.

"Jimmie, you'd better forget everything you saw today." Luella buttoned up the jacket and glared fiercely at Jimmie, threatening coldly, "Otherwise, I'll kill you."

"Wait!"

Jimmie grabbed her wrist, his tone involuntarily softening. "Since you're a girl, why did you reject me?"

"Let go!"

"You clearly like me."

Jimmie refused to let go. After a twenty-hour flight and an entirely sleepless night, his eyes were terrifyingly red, and his voice was extremely hoarse.

"Who said I like you?"

Luella snapped her head back, refuting him defensively. "Do you have proof?" "I do!"

Jimmie pulled out his phone, waving it at her, and said earnestly, "When I brought you back last night, you clung onto me and wouldn't let go. Not only did you say you liked me, but you also tried to forcefully kiss me I recorded the whole thing. Do you want to see?"

Luella blinked, completely speechless.

She did have a vague memory of trying to force a kiss. As for admitting she liked him...

Faced with Jimmie's looks, she definitely could have babbled some nonsense. "I'm not watching it."

Luella turned her head away, speaking in annoyance. "So what? I like a lot of people, and you aren't even on the list."

"You were screaming my name while you were asleep " Jimmie stepped closer, looking down at be "Ms. Langley, where do you think I rank?"

Ms. Langley?

Besides Megan, Juniper, and a very select few, no one had ever called her that.

Luella froze, the tough facade she was trying to maintain showing signs of crumbling.

"Did you come to Stellara Country just to confirm this?"

"Yes."

"If that's the case, I admit it," Luella said, her fingers curling into fists, answering in a

low, raspy voice. "I do like you."

Jimmie's brows twitched.

"But we can't be together." Luella sighed, speaking seriously. "First, want to compete for the position of Executive Chief of Stellara Country. My true gender cannot be exposed."

"Second, with your status, if people found out you had a 'boyfriend', your career in

the entertainment industry would be over."

"And lastly..."

"If that's what you're worried about, I can leave the entertainment industry."

Jimmie cut her off, his voice incredibly hoarse. "I can play along with your identity, and I'll never let anyone know I exist."
