Chapter 1087:

The Elliott Group’s professional security team immediately mobilized to create a protective barrier, physically separating the mob from their employer.

Myron faced the sea of cameras and hostile questions with an expression of complete composure. Not a trace of concern or uncertainty showed on his features.

“First and foremost,” Myron began, his voice carrying clearly above the chaos, “the date of my wedding to Millie will not change under any circumstances. Regardless of how this particular investment ultimately resolves itself, we will be married exactly as planned.”

He paused briefly before continuing,

“Secondly, I have never once regretted supporting Millie’s decision to pursue her professional ambitions. She is an independent individual who is fully capable of determining her own path. I would never presume to hold her back from achieving her goals, and I admire her courage and determination more than I can adequately express.”

His gaze swept across the assembled journalists with penetrating intensity.

“Lastly, I want to state clearly and unequivocally—I do not believe Millie has failed in this investment.”

The crowd exchanged looks of pure disbelief at Myron’s confident declaration.

With the key technical engineer allegedly abandoning the company and Yaroslav Technology’s market valuation supposedly cut in half virtually overnight, how could any rational person claim this wasn’t an obvious failure?

They concluded that Myron must have completely lost his objectivity due to his emotional attachment.

Someone immediately challenged him.

“Mr. Elliott, I’m struggling to understand your position. Based on all available evidence, how can you possibly claim that Millie’s investment isn’t a complete disaster?”

Myron simply let out a quiet laugh, shaking his head.

“The answer is actually very straightforward. I still fully intend to invest in Yaroslav Technology myself,” he said calmly. “So tell me, how exactly could that possibly be considered a failure?”

Before anyone could fire off follow-up questions, Myron’s security team had cleared a path through the crowd. He gave a polite wave of dismissal and walked away with confident strides, leaving the reporters standing there in stunned confusion.

Within seconds, the crowd erupted into heated discussions and wild speculation.

“Wait, what exactly did he mean by that?”

“Why would Myron say he still wants to invest in Yaroslav Technology even after everything that’s happened?”

“Oh! I think I’ve got it!” one reporter suddenly exclaimed, snapping his fingers with excitement. “It means that if Millie’s investment really does fail completely, Elliott Group will just swoop in to take over her shares and cover the loss! That’s his safety net!”

“That makes perfect sense!”

Another voice chimed in eagerly.

“Or maybe Elliott Group is planning to make an aggressive move into Yaroslav Technology—you know, recruit brand-new technicians, pour in massive amounts of money and resources, and dedicate their entire team to making absolutely sure Millie’s project succeeds no matter what!”
