Chapter 1101:
Then Millie leaned in and kissed him back.
“Sweet,” she murmured, smiling at him.
Myron smiled too.
As they enjoyed the quiet, Millie picked up her phone again. “This is just the beginning. Spencer’s issue is settled, but what’s ahead is still uncertain.”
Head-hunting was common, and no one could tell if Foley could keep Spencer—or if Yaroslav Technology would thrive.
And her father’s death was still unclear.
JM Investments wouldn’t always sail smoothly; challenges would come.
The same forces that once pushed James to his fall still existed, and she wasn’t ready to face them yet.
Myron saw the worry in her eyes and held her hand. He assured her that he’d always be there, no matter what.
After the celebration, Myron went back to the Elliott Group.
This time, no one blocked his way.
He smiled and went back to his office.
Mack followed him in.
“How’s the situation?” Myron asked.
“They’re having a secret meeting,” Mack replied quickly.
Indeed, in a small meeting room, those who had opposed Myron gathered in whispers.
“What now? We thought Millie would fail and bring Myron down with her, but she got lucky!”
“Yeah, now we look like fools after all we said.”

“Not really. We only gave advice based on facts. We meant well,” one of them argued.
“Exactly. Millie didn’t really win anything—she just avoided losing her investment. That’s not the same thing.”
“Right. We’ve handled far bigger deals. This one barely counts. Avoiding loss isn’t victory—it’s just damage control.”
Everyone nodded, comforting themselves with those words.
The door to the conference room suddenly swung open, startling everyone inside.
All heads snapped toward the entrance—only to find Myron standing there, smiling pleasantly.
For a brief moment, no one moved. Then, as if on cue, they all shot to their feet, panic flashing in their eyes.
“So, this is where you’ve all been hiding,” Myron said, still smiling.
“Mr. Elliott.”
Several voices echoed nervously.
“The meeting’s about to start,” Myron said with an easy laugh. “I was looking for you guys and must’ve picked the right door by accident.”
His tone was as mild as ever, his demeanor unchanged.
Yet that calm smile only made their hearts pound harder.
