Chapter 1181:

Jose paused for a beat, eyes on Myron.

Myron’s gaze dropped to the table.

“So what’s your point?” His tone couldn’t have been more detached.

Jose felt irritated the moment Myron asked that question.

He said, “So that leaves us with two options—either we’re in or we fight back.”

No further explanation was needed; everyone in the room caught his drift. Either they aligned themselves with Yaroslav Technology, or they took aggressive steps to put an end to Yaroslav Technology’s rise.

But considering the current landscape, Yaroslav Technology had just landed a major overseas deal with TT, and they were no longer a minor player that could be easily knocked out, especially with Evans Group now backing them. Evans Group, after all, was one of Crobert’s top three powerhouses—hardly a group you’d want as an enemy.

“At the moment, our analysis shows joining them makes a lot more sense than going up against them,” Jose added.

Heads around the table nodded. No one disagreed.

Myron gave a brief nod and motioned for him to continue.

“I think Millie should look at the bigger picture and transfer her shares in Yaroslav Technology over to Elliott Group,” Jose explained.

Instantly, tension filled the room.

Everyone went silent, exchanging wary glances between Jose and Myron.

Even Jose seemed to hold his breath, watching for Myron’s reaction.

Myron didn’t flinch, his face unreadable. He didn’t even bother to look Jose’s way. He simply asked, “And why should she do that?”

“No special reason,” Jose answered, his tone sharp and frustrated.

“The real problem here is investment priority rights. Evans Group can invest through Charles, but we don’t get first dibs. If Millie hands her shares over to us, Elliott Group becomes a direct shareholder and gets those same priority rights.” That was the fix Jose pitched.

He clearly wasn’t thrilled with Millie either.

He continued, “Elliott Group sent a whole team to Yaroslav Technology, but Millie blocked us by using her own priority rights! She shut Elliott Group out of the deal! Since we lost our shot because of her, she should make it right.”

“Make it right?” Myron repeated, a wry smile tugging at his lips.

“Exactly!” Jose replied, practically triumphant.

“You’re planning to marry Millie, aren’t you? If she’s really going to be your wife, her loyalty should be with Elliott Group. And let’s be real, her company, JM Investments, is tiny compared to us. Once the competition heats up after Yaroslav Technology’s rise, she’s going to get left behind. She’d be better off just signing those shares over to Elliott Group now.”

Jose’s words hung in the air, bouncing off the walls of the conference room.

Nobody else dared to interrupt; every eye was fixed on Myron. Myron had a reputation for being calm and elegant at all times, but this time he let out a laugh—sharp and dripping with sarcasm.

Jose bristled at the sound, demanding, “You think I’m wrong?” Myron finally looked up and swept his gaze across the room.

“What about the rest of you? Any thoughts on Mr. Grant’s suggestion?”

The usual group who sided with Jose didn’t hesitate—they jumped right in to back him up.
