Chapter 1182:
“I agree with Mr. Grant. Millie needs to be reasonable and hand over her Yaroslav Technology shares.”
“She won’t be able to hold on to those shares for long anyway. It’s smarter to just hand them over now.”
“If she keeps acting stubborn, she clearly isn’t cut out to be part of the Elliott family!”
Those who’d lost out on bonuses and dividends because of the failed Yaroslav Technology deal also eagerly joined in. They all knew that if Millie surrendered her shares, everyone’s pockets would get fatter.
Adriana swept her gaze across the room and called them out, “Absolutely shameless!”
With the tide turning in his favor, Jose’s confidence only grew.
“Miss Elliott, I’m thinking only of the company’s best interests—of Elliott Group itself. How is that shameless? Millie should do what’s right and transfer the Yaroslav Technology shares!” His supporters chimed in, their voices rising in support.
Suddenly, a quiet “click” cut through the noise.
Myron had set his pen down on the table.
Instantly, silence settled over the room as every head turned toward Myron, Jose included.
Myron stared at the pen for a moment before finally saying, “She’s right. This is utterly shameless.”
“Myron!” Jose’s cheeks turned bright red with fury.
Myron’s smile never faded, but the chill in it could freeze a room.
“I pointed out a long time ago that Millie had a keen eye, and that Yaroslav Technology was worth betting on. I even proposed we make a small initial…
“Investment so Elliott Group could get involved. Back then, we still had a real shot,” Myron said, his voice echoing across the quiet room.
“I also offered to use my own money if the board didn’t want to commit company funds. Now remind me, what exactly was your response?”

Myron let out a dry laugh and continued, “You turned me down. Now that the project turns out to be a huge success, suddenly it’s all Millie’s fault that you’re not in? Now you’re using Elliott Group’s power to squeeze Millie? Trying to guilt-trip Millie into giving in?”
Myron’s voice barely rose, yet the weight of his words made several people avert their eyes.
“Millie always asked me not to stir up conflict, since you were acting in the company’s best interest. That’s why I kept quiet all this time. But now… you came looking for trouble yourselves!”
Myron’s gaze hardened, his voice turning cold.
“So this is what you call teamwork? Ganging up on her?”
Right then, Myron’s smile vanished. His gaze cut straight through the room, and not a single person dared to look up.
Everyone dropped their gaze, except for Jose, who fired back, “This isn’t personal. It’s about what Millie should do. We’re just trying to protect the company’s interests!”
Adriana let out a sharp laugh.
“Oh, so this is how Elliott Group usually manages risks? That’s new.” Adriana couldn’t resist mocking him further.
“Jose, seriously? If word got out about this kind of shameless behavior in Elliott Group, I’d be mortified to show my face in public.”
