Chapter 1194:
Myron had then used it as a token to get the Bennett family’s help, and just earlier this year, Myron gave it back to her, returning it in style during that hot air balloon ride.
According to Myron, he’d gone straight to James for help and got it when he saw his daughter’s necklace.
So James definitely should have known exactly where that necklace ended up.
So why pretend otherwise?
Millie unclasped the necklace and studied it closely.
It was identical to the one she remembered—midnight blue, with the Bennett family’s engraving shining on the back.
Everything appeared completely normal.
Myron caught the way she was studying the necklace and asked, “Did something happen?”
Millie glanced up.
“Have you really had this necklace the entire time?”
Myron paused, thinking back, and then answered, “Since you gave it to me as a gift, I’ve always had it with me. When I brought it to the Bennett family later, your dad checked it out himself while I was there. I never let it out of my sight. After he finished inspecting it, he gave it right back to me.”
That necklace was hers, and he’d looked after it like it was his own.
Millie examined the necklace once more, searching for any detail that felt off.
At the moment, nothing seemed out of place.
If Myron was telling the truth, then the necklace hadn’t been replaced; it was exactly as she remembered. She didn’t have any reason to doubt Myron.
Maybe it only did something unusual when triggered by something else.
With that in mind, Millie fastened it back around her neck.
“What’s up? What’s wrong with your necklace?” Myron asked.
Millie could only shake her head.

“I wish I knew.”
“Don’t stress about it, then. Here, check this out.” Myron added, pulling out his phone.
The two of them were still at JM Investments, finishing up after their lunch.
Millie took his phone and saw a fresh message from Foley.
Foley’s message read: “Another big win for us! We’re on fire!” Another big deal landed in the books.
Anyone keeping a close eye on Yaroslav Technology caught the news fast, setting off heated debates and making analysts rethink the company’s true value.
As a result, the value of Millie’s shares shot up even higher. A quiet smile appeared on Millie’s lips as she put the phone aside.
Foley had warned them to brace themselves. This was just the beginning, and more headlines like this were on the horizon.
That was exactly why Millie didn’t bat an eye.
“Will you be alright handling things at the company?” Millie asked, turning to Myron.
Truth be told, the fate of the Elliott Group weighed more heavily on her mind than any market news about Yaroslav Technology.
“It’s honestly nothing,” Myron laughed it off.
“I’ve got it covered.”
