Chapter 1258:
A quiet smile passed between them, carrying more meaning than words ever could.
“I’ve got this,” he assured her.
“You don’t need to worry.”
Throughout the night, they kept going, checking and resolving each issue as it surfaced—until only one stubborn problem remained.
That final hurdle was different. After breakfast with Millie, Myron went straight to Charles’ place and dragged him out of bed so they could tackle it together.
Even then, someone tried to throw up another obstacle.
Myron stayed composed. Every time the other side raised an objection, he only had to glance at Mack. Mack would immediately produce the relevant paperwork and credentials—every detail covered, every requirement met without fail.
Following those early-morning instructions, Yaroslav Technology had already compiled and submitted every necessary document. Myron personally double-checked everything, explained the details with clarity, and ensured each step was followed precisely.
Meanwhile, Charles took charge of the argument itself, countering every claim until the other party finally ran out of things to say.
Even so, the official still refused to let them off the hook.
“Regardless of what you’ve submitted, we still need time to review everything. Go back and wait for our decision,” he insisted.
Charles bristled, barely holding back his temper.
It was obvious the entire situation was a farce—someone was making things difficult on purpose. The excuse about needing more time was just another delay. But Yaroslav Technology couldn’t afford to wait.
One more day of uncertainty would crush morale, and employees would start searching for jobs elsewhere.

Myron set the documents aside and fixed his gaze on the man in charge.
“I usually avoid throwing my weight around,” he said evenly.
“But I think you’d regret pretending you don’t know who I am.”
Charles jumped in to back him up.
“You might want to remember the Evans family, too!”
Trying to hold his ground, the official protested, brandishing his authority.
“Even if you’re Myron Elliott, you can’t just do whatever you want!”
A soft laugh escaped Myron.
He set his glass of water on the table, gently but deliberately, the sound crisp in the quiet.
Meeting the man’s gaze, he said, “We’ve provided every document and followed every rule. So tell me—is this me overstepping, or is someone intentionally blocking our way?”
The man refused to budge, repeating, “Just head back and wait for our response.”
Charles swore under his breath, still seething.
