Chapter 1373:
Since he couldn’t avoid it, Darden decided to break the silence, rambling mostly to ease Brandon’s mood by picking at whatever faults he could find.
“It’s honestly nothing special. If you’d arranged everything, bro, the venue would’ve turned out even more impressive.”
“Sure, Millie looks gorgeous, but she’d shine even brighter standing next to you, Brandon.”
“Ugh, acting all emotional like that. So what if he knows how to paint? You’ll create far greater works in the future.”
“What on earth! He actually walked up to Millie right after the divorce? No shame at all—completely ridiculous!”
Darden kept up his nonstop commentary, occasionally sneaking a look at Brandon seated beside him. Brandon’s eyes were as dark as a moonless night.
From the moment he and Millie finalized their divorce and stepped out of the courthouse, there was no turning back, was there?
His fingers curled so tightly that his knuckles turned white.
Darden kept muttering beside him.
“It’s really nothing big. Just a few outings, sharing some meals, working together. If you ask me, Millie always treated him like a friend. Then suddenly they’re declaring their love and getting married… that’s, um…”
But mid-sentence, Darden trailed off. Even he could no longer deny how real the love between those two looked.
This wasn’t a marriage to secure mutual interests or simply spite Brandon. It was true love.
Darden fell quiet, sneaking another glance at Brandon.
Brandon’s expression hadn’t changed, but Darden could sense he was close to breaking down.
All because, on the screen, the ceremony had reached the moment they exchanged rings.
Ari appeared in her pretty princess dress, looking like a tiny angel as she and the other flower child carried the rings forward.

They were custom-made rings. Each circular band was adorned with large, vivid blue diamonds.
When the box was opened, both rings shone with dazzling brilliance.
“Wow!”
A chorus of gasps rippled through the crowd.
Even guests accustomed to luxury looked stunned by the sight of those rings.
“Now, you may exchange the rings.”
Myron took the ring from the box first. Warmth filled his eyes as he looked at Millie.
Millie held out her hand, watching quietly as he slipped the band onto her finger.
Next was Millie’s turn. Ari brought the ring box to her, and Millie gave her a warm smile before taking out the ring. Then she lifted her gaze and locked eyes with Myron.
He was smiling too, his hand already held out to her. Without hesitation, she slid the ring onto his finger.
They clasped hands, their matching bands catching the light. In that moment, it felt as though their hearts were beating in the same rhythm, brimming with affection for each other.
