Chapter 1401:

More tears followed as Brandon forced himself to look away from Millie and meet Vivian’s gaze.

He choked out, “I don’t even know how to make up for the pain I caused you.”

“Look at what you’ve done to her!” Macauley exclaimed, his voice raw with anger. He stalked toward Millie, his intent clear—another blow was coming.

“How about this…” Brandon’s jaw tightened. He grabbed a knife, and while Vivian screamed, he drove it deep into his own left shoulder.

Blood soaked his shirt, running down his arm.

He turned to Macauley, his voice unsteady but controlled.

“Will that satisfy you?”

Brandon knew that if he didn’t do something, Millie would suffer again.

His voice trembled, but he forced the words out.

“If this is still not enough,” he said, heavy with resolve, “tell me what you want me to do. I’ll do anything.”

“Hahaha…” Macauley burst into loud, unhinged laughter that echoed through the empty space.

He kept laughing until his eyes watered. Then he leaned forward and said, “So this is the great Mr. Watson. Look at you, acting so small and humble now.”

Brandon didn’t bother defending himself. Instead, he said, “Do whatever you want with me. I drove you to this moment, and I’m the one you came here to destroy.”

He added, “Let them go. Break my arms and legs, take me with you—anything.”

“Hold on!” Vivian cut in before Macauley could respond. She stepped forward and said, “I only told you two conditions. There’s still one more.”

Brandon felt the urge to choke her, but he forced it down. Macauley still had control over Millie and Ari.

“I’m listening,” Brandon said, struggling to stay composed.

“That woman!” Vivian shouted, glaring at Millie.

“If she hadn’t ruined everything, I would’ve gotten exactly what I wanted.”

Millie slowly turned her head toward Vivian.

For a moment, she met Vivian’s stare and saw nothing but cruel intent.

“What is she wearing?” Vivian sneered.

“A wedding dress? Brandon, were you supposed to get married today?”

She glanced at him again and noticed he wasn’t dressed for a wedding.

“The groom isn’t Brandon,” Macauley replied.

“It’s Myron.”

Vivian let out a breathless laugh, her voice breaking with each gasp.

“You went through all this trouble for her, and now she’s marrying someone else. Hahaha…”

Brandon lowered his gaze.

“Yeah. I lost. Every choice I made led nowhere. Tell me your last request.”

“I want…” Vivian began, turning toward Millie once more.

At that moment, a car screeched to a stop near the abandoned factory. The door swung open, and someone pale and unsteady stepped out.

“Myron, why are you here?” Adriana spotted her brother first.
