Chapter 1410:
He couldn’t lose her—not now, not ever.
With Ari close behind, Myron strode toward the exit, every step a battle against the pain tearing through his body.
On the way out, he kicked aside the debris trapping Brandon, sparing him only a brief glance.
Brandon’s gaze flicked toward Macauley’s distant screams, confusion and shock rippling across his soot-streaked face.
But Myron kept moving.
The ground was a trail of blood—his and Millie’s—gleaming in the furious firelight.
The exit gate loomed ahead, battered but still standing. Harsh, grating noises rang out as the police pried at the twisted metal, widening the gap inch by inch.
“Myron?!” Lynda’s voice cut through the chaos.
“You brought them out? Are they safe?”
He couldn’t answer.
Staggering, he nearly dropped Millie, saved only when he fell to one knee and braced himself against the floor.
“Officer! There are still three people inside! Please save my mom and dad—they’re losing too much blood!” Ari cried, her voice shrill with panic.
Static crackled over the radios. Lynda’s eyes swept the scene, her heart hammering, as she grabbed her own radio.
“Brandon! Can you hear me? It’s Lynda. How’s it going over there?”
The reply was pure chaos—more static, muffled curses, distant screams, the harsh clang of metal—an auditory storm that made her stomach twist.
Boom!
The explosion rattled the floor beneath them.

Myron’s vision blurred, darkness creeping in at the edges—until a figure staggered into the firelight.
Brandon.
His face was a mask of blood and grit, twisted with pain. The two men’s eyes met, and in that silent exchange, there was understanding—Brandon had tied up all the loose ends.
Boom!
Another blast tore through the night, the shockwave knocking Myron off balance.
He collapsed, clutching Millie as the world tilted around him.
“Dad!” Ari’s voice pierced through, raw and desperate. She threw herself onto them, her small arms wrapping around both Myron and Millie with fierce determination.
