Chapter 1484:

She felt grateful that they had finally worked things out. And she was thankful they still had time to make things right again together.

Once their heartfelt talk ended, everyone gathered around as Millie started her dinner, making her feel shy under their watchful eyes.

“Aren’t you all eating too?” Millie asked, feeling awkward.

“We’ll have our meal after you finish,” Alexia replied with a warm smile. “Go ahead—try it and see if it suits your taste.”

Myron offered to help her, but Millie declined with a gentle shake of her head.

“I’d rather do it myself,” Millie said firmly.

With so many people watching, she felt far too embarrassed to let Myron feed her.

Myron carefully placed the spoon in her hand, helping her adjust her grip.

Millie grasped the spoon in her hand and slowly lowered it into the warm bowl of soup.

As she lifted the spoon, it tipped to the side, and the soup spilled back into the bowl.

Everyone pretended not to notice, shifting their conversation to the tall trees outside.

Millie looked at the spoon in her hand, frozen for a moment as surprise flickered across her face.

She tried again to scoop up the soup, but her hands still felt weak, and the spoon wobbled.

Just then, someone’s hand steadied hers, guiding her.

Glancing over, Millie saw Myron beside her.

“Millie, you were unconscious for a long time, so your body is still weak,” he said gently at her side. “With some rehabilitation, you’ll get stronger; just take it slow. Let me look after you while you recover, alright?”

Tears threatened to fill Millie’s eyes, and she nodded her agreement.

With Myron guiding her, she managed to have the soup.

The familiar flavor made her feel at home. She glanced in Giffard’s direction.

“Giffard,” she said softly, calling his name.

Giffard gave her a bright smile and asked, “How does it taste?”

“It’s really good,” Millie replied, her face lighting up.

“It’s a relief your sense of taste is still there,” Giffard joked. “You can still tell when I’m the one who cooked.”

“Absolutely,” Millie said with a nod. “Your cooking is fantastic. First time I tried it, I had actually thought the Hussain family must have brought in a professional chef.”

“Isn’t he already the Hussain chef?” Alexia teased.

Everyone burst out laughing, and any awkwardness in the air quickly disappeared.

With Myron helping her, Millie finished the entire bowl of soup, and seeing her eat so well made everyone feel at ease.

“Go eat your dinner,” Millie urged them. “I’m finished here.”
