Chapter 758:

“And what exactly do you plan to do?” he asked, unsure of what Giffard had uncovered during his time in Flaville.

Giffard had promised to explain everything once he returned. He had said more than once that Millie deserved to hear the truth directly from him.

There was a moment when Myron had considered sending men to Flaville to dig deeper, but Charles had already dispatched someone to make inquiries recently, and their enemies might still be on high alert right now, so Myron had waited. Later, Giffard was set to attend a seminar there, which gave him the perfect cover to investigate.

Yet the constant questions seemed to have worn Giffard down, leaving his patience frayed.

“Just send me the address,” he added.

With a sigh, Myron forwarded him the location, which turned out to be close by. “Giffard, whatever you’re thinking of doing, keep Millie’s feelings in mind first,” Myron said quietly. “That’s all I ask of you.”

Repeating the address to his driver, Giffard sat back, watching the city lights blur past the car window. He remembered how Millie and Alexia had been inseparable since childhood, and how he had watched Millie grow up.

For years, he had convinced himself he only saw her as a younger sister. But the moment he discovered she was seeing Brandon, he realized the truth—his feelings had never been brotherly at all.

Unfortunately, by then, Millie had already chosen Brandon.

With Millie no longer tied to Brandon, Giffard believed he finally had a chance. He had planned to wait until she healed before telling her how he truly felt. But Myron had stepped in first and won her over.

Once again, Giffard was too late. He had even learned about her abusive stepfather later than everyone else, always arriving a step behind when she needed help most. This time, he refused to fall behind again. He was determined to act before the opportunity slipped away.

His focus now was to strip Vivian of her lies and reveal her true face. Only a handful of people knew the secret he and Alexia had guarded for Millie. It was about the child Millie had lost in the hospital stairwell. And now, he carried another truth, one so heavy that even Alexia remained unaware of it.

A rush of thoughts surged through him, leaving his chest tight. Finally, he lowered his gaze and said flatly, “Vivian isn’t sick. I have her medical records to prove it.”

Myron rose without hesitation and walked straight out.

As the car neared its destination, Giffard muttered to himself, “This ends tonight.” His hand clutched the safe tighter as he ended the call.

Meanwhile, inside the villa, Vivian kept her stream running. The sight of the tips climbing made her glow with excitement. This was the reaction she wanted—dragging Millie into her trap and feeding off her name. Millie was probably backstage now, making her final preparations for the concert. But when it was all over, she would have to face the bitter truth—that everything she had worked for had been twisted into Vivian’s gain. Vivian almost laughed, wondering how furious Millie would be when she realized it.

The thought nearly made Vivian burst into laughter, but she stifled it with a cough, pretending her illness was getting worse. She realized the tips for her performance of “Glimmer of Love” were beginning to dwindle, so she spoke up.
