Chapter 794:
The chat exploded with comments. Vivian kept repeating “sorry,” but each sentence that followed was a sharp blade aimed at Millie, making herself sound like the victim. She smiled at the rising viewership, unbothered by the backlash.
She continued, “I’m sorry. I only have a few months left to live. I’m sorry I can’t collapse and die in front of you right now. You want repentance, but I don’t even know what for. I don’t understand, Millie. Why are you targeting someone who’s already terminally ill? Is this how you deal with people?” Her voice broke into laughter mixed with tears.
“I just wanted a wedding. What else do you want from me, Millie? Do you want me on my knees and admitting defeat? Fine, I’ll do it—anything to make you stop tormenting me. You can’t imagine what I’ve endured. That wedding was my last wish.”
Vivian wept pitifully, but Millie only felt disgust rise in her chest. She knew Vivian’s stomach cancer was a complete lie, and watching her milk it for sympathy made her sick. If not for the ongoing operation in Flaville, Millie would have exposed her already. But she wouldn’t have to wait long—by tomorrow at noon, everything would be settled.
On screen, Vivian went on. “Tomorrow at 9 a.m., I’ll host a charity sale at my studio. All proceeds will go to a foundation helping terminal patients like me.”
Sobbing softly, she added, “It’s my way of leaving something good behind, doing one last kind deed before I go. I won’t repent for lies, but I can at least do good.” Then she looked straight into the camera. “My conscience is clear.”
Her loyal fans rushed to back her up.
“Look at her—still thinking of others even in her condition. That’s true kindness!”
“There must be more to this. Maybe she was framed. She’s sick—why would she bother with Millie?”
“And besides, she has Brandon now. She has no reason to pick on Millie.”
“All she wanted was a wedding.”

Vivian felt smug, seeing the comments swing in her favor. She never intended to apologize anyway. If she backed down, she’d lose her edge—and with it, her fame. Even negative attention was better than none. By twisting her apology this way, she could still brand herself as “kind and misunderstood.” A true apology would scatter her fans, leaving her with nothing.
Besides, she didn’t believe Millie had real evidence. If Millie did, she would have shown it already.
To Vivian, Millie was only bluffing.
Thinking this, Vivian stood as if to bow—then suddenly collapsed to the floor.
“Miss Simpson!” her assistant cried, rushing to her side as chaos broke out.
In the chat, Vivian’s fans raged. “What more do Millie’s fans want? Vivian is seriously ill—she has terminal cancer and depression! If something happens to her, Millie, it’ll be on your head!”
Millie rolled her eyes. For a moment earlier, she had thought Vivian might actually apologize, and she was debating how to respond. But now, there was no need to worry. Some people didn’t deserve sympathy.
With that, she prepared to post a document she had originally planned to send Vivian in private—proof that she had real evidence. But before she could upload it, someone else beat her to it.
