Chapter 836:
“I’m really sick!” she screamed, clinging to her act.
Brandon waved his hand at Eugene.
“I want the truth,” he said, his voice like ice. His eyes were deadly, holding nothing but hatred.
“Vivian, if you dare lie to me…” he continued, each word sharp as a knife.
He didn’t finish, but the threat hung in the air, making Vivian tremble.
“I’m not lying!” she cried, still struggling. “Brandon, don’t you remember what happened before? I—”
But before she could continue, someone stepped forward to drag her away. “I’ll handle this myself,” Eugene assured, leaving Brandon’s bodyguard to tend to him while he personally followed Vivian.
Her furious voice, filled with curses, faded as she was taken off. But the crowd lingered, unwilling to leave just yet.
“Millie,” Brandon called gently.
She didn’t answer him. Instead, she turned to the crowd.
“Show’s over, everyone. Please disperse,” she said calmly, and then looked at Myron. “Let’s go.”
He nodded, taking her hand as they left together.
“Millie!” Brandon called again from behind.
But she didn’t turn.
She walked away at Myron’s side.
“Don’t you want the Bennett family’s property?” Brandon’s voice rang out.
Millie stopped in her tracks, her eyes shutting tight.
She despised the feeling of being threatened.
Brandon forced his way through, limping with bloodshot eyes.

He had no choice but to use such a shameless trick to make her pause.
Myron roared, “Brandon! If you still have a shred of decency, you’d return what belongs to Millie, not dangle it over her head as a threat!”
However, Brandon ignored him. His eyes never left Millie’s back.
“Millie,” he called again, his voice breaking.
“I know everything now. I know about that child,” he said, tears glistening.
“It was all my fault,” Brandon’s tone carried a heavy ache. “Please, don’t shut me out.”
Myron’s anger only deepened. He pulled Millie closer behind him, his eyes sharp as he met Brandon’s stare, refusing to let it reach her.
“You’ve got some nerve to bring that up,” he said coldly. “If I were you, I wouldn’t even have the face to stand here. Stop using the past as a weapon against Millie—the very person you’ve already wounded.”
Brandon acted as if he hadn’t heard him. His eyes grew red, and a twisted smile tugged at his lips. “Can we sit down and talk? I want to discuss the transfer of the Bennett family’s inheritance.”
Child… Bennett family…
