Chapter 864:
Vivian smirked, meeting his eyes. “Trying to hurt me? Like you did to Millie back then? Oh, yeah.” The more she spoke, the higher her voice grew, her whole body shaking with excitement.
“You’re the one who threw her down the stairs,” Vivian snapped. “With your own two hands, you killed your child and almost killed Millie too. Hahaha…”
“Vivian!” Brandon bellowed, but she ignored him and continued to laugh.
“So I faked being sick, but does that mean I forced you to push her? Was it me who made you kill her child?” Vivian screamed, her voice breaking with hysteria. “You did that! That’s on you, Brandon! And now you’re trying to pin that on me? Brandon, you’re disgusting!”
“Shut your fucking mouth!” Brandon roared, his anger overwhelming him. Vivian’s words cut deeper than he could bear. “Vivian, shut the hell up!”
“NO!” Vivian spat. “You keep accusing me of hurting Millie, but listen, flaws or not, when it comes to causing her pain, I am nothing compared to you!”
Brandon slammed his fist into the bed frame, the sound reverberating through the room. His eyes were bloodshot, and his face twisted in agony, looking almost like a wounded animal. He looked terrifying, and the sight made Vivian shiver in fear.
Yet, despite the fear, she was determined to shift the blame. No one knew what she had done in that hospital stairwell. She wanted Brandon to carry the guilt.
With this in mind, Vivian began sobbing again.
“I faked being ill, but Brandon, if I hadn’t, would you have cared for me? Would you have stayed with me? You wouldn’t have so much as looked my way!” She was playing the victim, a role she had perfected. But Brandon had long seen past it.
“All for this?” Brandon’s voice cracked, and he was on the verge of collapse, his tears mixing with the anger on his face.
Lying, scheming, twisting everything just to keep him by her side—just to hurt Millie?
“Yes, it was all for this!” Vivian cried out, clutching his hand desperately. “I love you, Brandon. You love Millie, don’t you? Aren’t you willing to do anything to get her back? That’s how I feel about you. Everything I did was for you. You turned me into this. This is about love! You understand me, don’t you?”

“Get out now!” Brandon screamed.
How could she say such cruel things?
“Vivian, this isn’t over!” Brandon’s eyes burned coldly as he glared at her, his voice filled with finality.
Vivian froze, but soon her body began to shake.
Her mind flashed back to the last time she had been caught faking her depression—how Eugene had followed Brandon’s orders to “treat” her properly. Back then, Brandon had still felt sorry for her, convinced she was dying, holding on to their promise. But this time…
There would be no mercy.
“You can’t do this to me!” Vivian spat, her voice laced with fury. “Don’t tell me you’ve forgotten what happened a year ago. Think! They sent the documents expecting Millie to attend, but in the end, I went instead, completely blindsided. I paid the price instead of her.”
Vivian trembled, staring deeply into Brandon’s eyes. “Don’t forget our deal. That day made me what I am now. If I hadn’t gone there, my soul wouldn’t be so…”
