Chapter 865:
Broken and I would still be kind… still good. You owe me, and so does Millie! You made me a deal in exchange for my silence!”
Brandon’s hand tightened around Vivian’s neck. Hatred consumed him.
He had never realized it was possible to hate someone so much.
From the very beginning, their agreement had always carried the marks of an exchange and a threat, even without Vivian stating it openly.
He had truly believed she was dying, and that once he kept his part of the promise, soon everything would come to an end.
All the secrets would die with Vivian. Then everything could go back to the way it was.
Six months—that was all he needed, just six months.
But now… he saw that Vivian wanted more than that. More than the time they had agreed on.
“I’ve already told you, for what happened that day, I can make it up in other ways,” Brandon snapped, his voice sharp with anger.
Vivian shouted back, “Make it up how? Brandon, I don’t want half measures. I want you. Not for a few months. I want marriage, children, growing old side by side. I want a lifetime with you—forever, Brandon!”
Her words rang through the hospital room, fierce with certainty.
Brandon let out a low, bitter laugh and fixed his gaze on her.
So this was Vivian at her core—hungry, manipulative, and relentless. How could he have been so blind all this time?
“Vivian, if it weren’t for that accident… I would’ve killed you right here,” he said, his voice rough, each word colder than ice.
Vivian blurted, “No, you can’t do that!”
“Yes, I can,” Brandon said flatly. “If it came to that, we’d both go down together. Without Millie, what meaning does life hold anyway?”

“Let me go, Brandon, please!” Vivian panicked under his fierce stare. “You owe me! Don’t think you can just walk away! If you do, I’ll go to Millie myself and make her pay me back!”
Brandon remained silent, simply watching her as though he wanted to burn her deceitful face into his memory.
Then, he pulled out his phone and dialed Eugene’s number.
Eugene entered quickly. “Mr. Watson,” he said.
Brandon pointed at Vivian. “Show her what it costs to deceive me.”
Eugene instantly understood.
“No, stop!” Vivian shrieked.
She wanted to speak more, but if she did, the truth of that night a year ago would spill out. If Brandon ever learned that the “accident” had actually been part of her scheme…
Vivian froze.
He still believed he owed her because of that. Whatever punishment he inflicted would not be the worst. Besides, Millie was already with Myron. Perhaps with a bit of cunning, she could still twist things in her favor later.
