Chapter 906:
“What do you mean?” Brandon stared at him, unable to process it right away.
“Let me show you.” Without wasting time, Eugene passed the tablet over so Brandon could watch Leif’s livestream clip for himself.
Brandon’s eyes focused on the image of Vivian elbowing him from behind, and suddenly his vision blurred with emotion.
Everything made sense now.
His mind spun, overwhelmed by the truth.
Desperate to reach Millie, Brandon looked up, about to call out her name.
But at that instant, the elevator doors edged shut, cutting off his line of sight.
“Millie!” Brandon called after her, his voice echoing in the empty corridor. Right then, he could only watch as the doors closed for good, and the elevator began its steady descent.
Inside the elevator, Millie kept her eyes locked on the closed doors, refusing to look away.
The highly polished elevator doors caught their reflections, casting back a silent snapshot of that tense moment.
Millie maintained a composed expression, while Myron, standing beside her, regarded her with concern etched across his face.
It was clear to her that Myron, too, had caught Brandon’s desperate call just seconds earlier.
Still, she chose not to say a word.
Myron, equally unsettled, kept his thoughts to himself.
Without warning, the sound of a phone vibrating broke the silence.
Glancing around, Millie quickly noticed that both Myron and Barbara had pulled out their buzzing phones.

Confusion flickered between the two as they checked their screens.
Peeking at Myron’s phone, Millie noticed Brandon’s name flashing on the display.
At the same time, Barbara’s screen revealed an incoming call from Charles. A faint crease appeared on Millie’s brow as she wondered what could be unfolding outside the elevator.
Before Millie could think any more about it, her phone began buzzing in her pocket.
Pulling it out, she saw Alexia’s name lighting up the screen.
Her eyes met Myron’s, and the uncertainty in his gaze matched her own. The elevator continued its rapid descent, quickly carrying them toward the ground floor.
Elsewhere in the building, a second elevator sped toward the lobby, trying to catch up. Inside, Brandon stood in silence, with Eugene beside him. Brandon tried calling Myron once more, but his attempts kept ending in silence as there was still no answer on the other end.
Meanwhile, in the first elevator, Millie finally picked up Alexia’s call.
“Alexia?” Millie asked gently. “Is everything okay?”
“Millie—” Broken sobs echoed through the speaker, making it hard for Alexia to form words.
