“Sam, who sent these flowers? Did your young master send them back?” Serenity wondered if the bouquet had been sent to her by Zachary.
“What did Zachary give me again? I can’t seem to keep track of all these clothes.” Serenity also assumed that the bags filled with clothing were gifts from Zachary.
Serenity was responsible for buying or making his clothes, while Zachary took care of hers, selecting all the outfits he liked for her.
Sam hesitated to respond.
He handed the bouquet to Serenity, who accepted it and noticed a small card inside. She picked up the card to read it, which said: “Zachary, this bouquet is for you. I hope you find happiness every day. Be happy, love you!”
There was no signature.
A bouquet for Zachary?
Serenity felt a bit stunned after reading the card. This bouquet of roses was clearly intended for Zachary, and the card contained affectionate words directed at him. She didn’t need to ask to know it was sent by a woman.
Who sent flowers to her man?
Sam handed the bags back to Serenity and said, “Young Mistress, here are the clothing sets and ties. Each bag contains a card with the same message.”
Before Zachary arrived, he had also received these gifts, all from Ms. Elisa.
Elisa always presented her gifts openly and would never sign her name like this unknown sender; instead, she employed a courier for delivery.
The courier only mentioned that a man paid a substantial amount for the delivery, stating it was for a customer. However, he did not reveal the identity of the customer, and even he did not know.
This situation is too mysterious; even Sam couldn’t make sense of it.
Serenity turned and walked to the sofa, cradling the bouquet in her arms. She placed the bouquet on the coffee table and gestured for Sam to hand her some bags. She…
Zachary removed the clothes and ties from the bags and examined them. They were all well-known brands, and the suits were black. He typically preferred black or dark blue suits. Someone had clearly taken note of Zachary’s preferences, as they did not include suits in other colors.
“Did you inform your young master?” Serenity asked Sam. As the butler who had earned Zachary’s trust, Sam would notify him immediately if anything was amiss.
Sam shook his head and replied, “These items were delivered recently. I was about to inform the young master when you returned.” He considered letting Serenity handle the situation since Zachary had stated that she had the final say on family matters.
Seeing Serenity’s expression, she didn’t appear upset. She likely understood the situation. Given Zachary’s handsome appearance, which attracted many admirers, and the fact that suitors still pursued him even after their marriage, she must have been aware.
Serenity placed the clothes and tie on the coffee table, then picked up Sonny and sat him on the sofa. She spoke softly, “Sonny, I’m going to get the thermometer to check your temperature.”
She then said to Sam, “Please pour Sonny a glass of warm water for him to drink. I’ll take his temperature to see if his fever has completely subsided.”
“Okay,” Sam replied before turning to pour a glass of warm water for Sonny.
After bringing the thermometer, Serenity helped Sonny take his temperature after he drank half the glass of warm water. Sam remained nearby, waiting for Serenity to finish handling the bouquet of flowers and clothes.
A few minutes later, Serenity pulled out the thermometer, glanced at it, and sighed in relief. “Thirty-six point nine. The fever has completely subsided,” she informed Sam.
Sonny was sweating moments ago, and she suspected that he had withdrawn.
