In the lounge, after Serenity helped her sleeping nephew adjust the air-conditioning quilt, he asked Zachary, “When Mr. Dawson returns, will he be able to take care of his daughter? She’s still very young, so he should spoil her a lot.”
Zachary quickly moved past Sonny, who was squeezed beside her. He placed one hand under her head as a pillow and gently pinched Serenity’s face with the other.
Zachary asked, “Serenity, are you jealous?”
She rarely experienced jealousy. Since receiving their marriage certificate, it’s worth noting that she had never felt jealous.
She had heard plenty about the girls who liked Zachary, including from Josh. However, Josh mentioned that Elisa was the only girl brave enough to publicly confess her feelings for Zachary and pursue him.
Upon learning that Zachary and Serenity were married, Elisa had immediately cut ties with him.
As a result, Serenity had never felt jealousy; she only felt sympathy for Elisa, thinking she had unwittingly taken Elisa’s sweetheart.

Serenity replied, “I’m not jealous, but I am upset that other women are targeting my husband.”
She nestled into his arms, placed one hand on his waist, and declared possessively, “Husband, you belong to me! You promised that I am yours, and you are mine!”
Zachary responded affectionately, “Yes, yes, I am yours, and I will always be yours! I will only be yours!”
Serenity’s words weren’t overly harsh, yet she expressed feeling upset and, in some ways, a bit jealous.
This revealed her profound love for him!
“Mr. Dawson is a very dedicated individual with an excellent reputation. Ms. Dawson might not easily back down and could devise ways to undermine us. However, I believe Mr. Dawson has a strategy to handle his daughter. He oversees such a large company; a person who has spent half his life in the business world must possess the means and determination that have brought him to his current position,” she stated.
Serenity also sensed that Ms. Dawson would not relent easily.
Initially, Serenity had faith in Zachary’s claim that Mr. Dawson could manage his daughter and prevent her from causing any more trouble.
Even if Mr. Dawson truly could no longer control his daughter, Serenity had never been afraid.
Whether it was Ms. Dawson or anyone else, she believed she wouldn’t lose because Zachary’s heart belonged to her!
