Kevin: “Hayden is very beautiful.”
Callum smiled and said, “Exactly, she’s beautiful. Her family background is similar to ours, so you don’t need anyone else. Go for it! If you wait too long, you’ll regret it when other men realize that Mr. Queen is actually a stunning woman. Trust Grandma’s judgment; she knows what’s best for us.”
“It’s not that I don’t trust Grandma, but… how do I even begin? You all are great. From the start, you could send flowers and gifts. But what should I give? Hayden is currently dressed as a man. If I send her flowers, it’ll be on the front page the next day.”
The fact that the third young master of the York family is pursuing a man would create explosive headlines in both Wiltspoon and Jensburg.
“Knock, knock.” Someone knocked on the door.
Callum guessed it was his fiancée arriving.
Although Camryn refused to acknowledge her status as his fiancée, Callum insisted on it everywhere, supported her, and dealt with both the Chandler and Joyner families on her behalf. Camryn simply didn’t want to accept it.
Kevin: “It must be Ms. Newman.”
Callum got up, walked around the desk, and personally opened the door for Camryn.
Kevin watched him, feeling a mix of envy and confusion at Callum’s cheerful demeanor.
Could love truly bring such happiness?
Kevin, who was not in love, couldn’t grasp that feeling just yet.
When Callum opened the office door, he indeed saw Camryn standing there, holding a bouquet of flowers in one hand, a bag in the other, along with her blind crutch.
“Camryn, you’re here! Come in quickly.” Callum stepped aside to allow her to enter.
Camryn hesitated for a moment but eventually walked into Callum’s office.
This wasn’t her first time.
In Callum’s office, she didn’t need a blind man’s cane to navigate, nor did she require Callum’s guidance; she could walk to the desk without any errors. However, just as she was about to approach the desk, she halted abruptly. There were others present in the office. She glanced at the other individuals but could only make out a blurry black silhouette. Unable to discern any facial features, she couldn’t identify who they were.
“Ms. Newman,” Kevin greeted her first.
Upon hearing Kevin’s voice, Camryn smiled in response while internally guessing his identity.
