Hayden: “There should be many suitors.”

Kevin: “There are indeed suitors, and I want to like them. If I don’t, that’s their issue, not mine.”

Kevin acknowledged that he also had many suitors. In fact, their brothers had several as well, and Rowan, still a teenager, received love letters from girls at school.

Hayden concurred with Kevin’s sentiments.

She too had many suitors, but she didn’t feel attracted to any of them. As a normal woman, she found it impossible to reciprocate the feelings of those girls.

She had just turned down a star’s confession before heading home.

“Mr. York, you’re quite impressive,” Hayden complimented Kevin, and it was true. Kevin was indeed remarkable, and there was nothing lacking in the male members of the York family. They were all exceptional and could stand on their own. Even without family support, they could successfully run their businesses.

Her father frequently boasted that the matriarch of the York family would nurture her children and grandchildren, ensuring they developed into talented individuals under her guidance.

“If you possess considerable wealth, the younger generation must excel to preserve it. Without ability, no amount of wealth can be sustained.”

The children and grandchildren were capable, and since the ancestors had not left behind excessive inheritance, they were able to generate more wealth.

“Mr. Queen, you’re quite impressive too. Do you have a girl you like?” Kevin inquired of Hayden.

“I haven’t encountered a girl I like yet. I’m too busy with work; my schedule is packed. I don’t have time for a serious relationship. Although there are many suitors who are interested in me, I don’t feel the same way because it’s not my concern.”

Of course, I desire to come from a good family background and greatly value the traditions of my partner’s family. I do not place much emphasis on appearance; they say that a man should marry a good woman, and as long as she isn’t unattractive, I can accept it.”

Hayden, though obviously a woman, had a serious discussion with Kevin about marriage. For over two decades, she had been presenting herself as a man, and she worried that she might have forgotten her true identity as a woman.

Kevin interacted with Hayden as if she were a man, making it difficult for him to connect with her delicate beauty.

“Mr. Queen, I share your views. When men marry, they should choose good women. As long as we have good hearts, we need not overly concern ourselves with appearances. In marriage, we should value the family background of our partners, regardless of how exceptional our own may be,” Kevin stated. After speaking, he turned to Hayden and added, “Mr. Queen, your family background is quite admirable.”

Mr. and Mrs. Queen had been a devoted couple for decades. Mr. Queen remained faithful, unlike others who father children outside of marriage or raise illegitimate offspring.

The loyalty and dedication displayed by parents in their relationships and marriages can significantly influence their children.

Hayden explained, “Our family has upheld strict rules since my great-grandmother’s generation. Younger family members must remain loyal to both family and marriage. Anyone who violates these rules will be expelled from the household, cut off from their family, and will not receive any share of the family estate.”
