After Kevin took charge, York’s catering industry has become a leader in its field. “It would be wonderful if such an outstanding young man became our son-in-law,” Donald remarked with a sigh. “Hayden is already 28, yet she refuses to embrace her femininity and has no romantic interests. She seems intent on living as a man for the rest of her life, remaining a lifelong bachelor.”

Mrs. Queen replied to her husband, “I’ve mentioned this before. She loved herself as a child, dressing like a boy and bonding with her brother. That was her choice.”

“When the children were young, they were all adorable and looked so similar that it was hard to distinguish between a boy and a girl. However, as she grew older, we can’t just let her continue to play the role of a boy. She enjoys it, claiming she has the demeanor of a big brother. If she wishes to be a big brother, then let her be one,” Mrs. Queen continued.

“Now, after more than 20 years of living as a fake man, she shows no desire to embrace her identity as a real woman. She doesn’t even glance at high heels and has tucked away the skirt she bought at the back of the cabinet. While many girls would love to wear those, she has no interest. If I didn’t know better, I would think I had two sons.”

At that moment, Mrs. Queen was battling a severe headache.

“We can’t change her; let’s hope a man can,” Donald suggested. “If she finds someone she likes, she might be inclined to wear women’s clothes and show a softer side.” However, jealousy crept into his voice as he added, “My precious daughter should not have to change for a man; I despise the idea of anyone trying to appease her!”

Mrs. Queen retorted, “Your daughter is pursued by beautiful girls, yet there are no men in her life. She has never shown interest in a man, so I doubt any will come close.”

Donald countered, “Isn’t it true that God has sent someone her way? I really like Kevin. If Hayden could be with Kevin, I would die in peace. The family dynamics of…”

The York family is quite admirable, especially the men, who are very dedicated. You may not have noticed Kevin’s friendly demeanor towards Hayden; he treats her like a buddy and is unaware that she is actually a woman. Given the time they have spent together, it’s possible that Kevin might develop feelings for Hayden, or vice versa. If she has someone she cares for, she would be willing to return to her original body. I believe there’s some chemistry between them; they resemble a married couple.

Mrs. Queen remarked, “It’s evident that their relationship has a husband-and-wife dynamic.”

Donald chuckled, “If Kevin were to become our son-in-law, I would wake up from my dreams laughing! I hope Hayden works hard to make Kevin more appealing so he can join our family.”

Mrs. Queen playfully nudged her husband, “Our family has been vying for a leading position in the catering industry against the Yorks. If they don’t end up as lovers, they could become fierce rivals instead. Haha!”

Donald paused for a moment before responding, “I doubt Hayden is truly targeting the York family. Unless there’s a significant conflict of interest, they won’t turn into bitter rivals. Our Queen Enterprise spans various industries, similar to York Corporation, and any competition will likely be limited to the catering sector, preventing us from becoming enemies.”

However, that also means they can’t become friends.

Mrs. Queen suggested, “Let’s focus on the positives. If possible, invite Kevin over for dinner and ask Hayden to join. This way, they can forge a strong friendship, allowing them to show kindness to each other when they encounter one another in business.”

Deep down, Mrs. Queen wished for their relationship to evolve into something more romantic, but given the current circumstances, it seemed unlikely.

She believed that if the two young people communicated too often, they would only end up being good friends, rather than developing a romantic relationship. Unless Kevin was attracted to men, he would likely have feelings for Hayden. It was their parents’ mistake to let their daughter dress as a boy for over 20 years. Very few people in Jensburg were aware that Hayden was actually a girl, and Kevin from Wiltspoon was certainly not one of them.
