Zachary’s character, though seemingly inactive on the surface, often prompted Grandma to complain in secret. Anticipating Serenity’s thoughts, Zachary added, “Even though he wasn’t specifically targeting you, I won’t let that shameless old pervert off easily. With your husband by your side, you have nothing to worry about.”

“I initially thought Ms. Dawson was behind the scenes. She just called me and bluntly admitted that she likes you and fell in love with you at first sight. Zachary, you attract a lot of attention—both before and after marriage—so you have no shortage of admirers. And they’re all young and beautiful,” Serenity concluded, her tone laced with jealousy.

Noticing the envy in her voice, Zachary inquired, “Are you jealous?”

Serenity laughed, “I am a little jealous, but I can handle rivals in love. The fact that there are many rivals means my man is exceptional, and I consider myself fortunate. He is the man everyone wants to marry, and I am blessed.”

Indeed, she felt fortunate to be married to someone as remarkable as Zachary. If only he weren’t so stingy and would stop complaining about her occasional neglect, things would be even better.

She had originally planned to go on a business trip today, but given the current situation, she had to postpone it until tomorrow.

Serenity said, “You’re busy, so I’ll take care of some personal matters.”

“What personal matters?” Zachary immediately asked. “Do you want to meet Shawn? You two haven’t seen each other in a while and must have a lot to discuss. Where are you meeting? I’ll join you wherever it is.”

Zachary had only met Shawn once the previous night, and he felt suspicious. He didn’t mention that Serenity and Shawn didn’t share a romantic history; even if they did, they had been married for so long that he still found himself feeling jealous of Shawn.

Serenity replied, “Yes, I want to see Shawn. As long as his name is mentioned, you’ll be suspicious. Zachary, are you so insecure that you can’t even hear Shawn’s name? I belong to you; my heart is yours; you are the only man for me. I don’t understand your worries; I have never loved Shawn; he is like a brother to me.”

Feeling her anger, Zachary quickly tried to soothe her: “Wife, I’m not suspicious. I was just overthinking. I apologize, I’m sorry, please don’t be upset.”

Serenity retorted angrily, “I’m going to confront the owner of villa No. 188. She brought Analia into the mansion and even took pictures of us without permission.”

Zachary frowned. How dare she secretly photograph them? She was clearly crossing a line!

Zachary said, “Honey, when we get back, I’ll go with you to confront her.”

Serenity replied, “No, I’ll handle this myself. I don’t need your help with matters between women. Besides, I might end up with another rival in love. I’ve already noted your admirers; let’s see how many more you can attract.”

Zachary was left speechless.
