Sam: “Young Master, breakfast is ready.”
Zachary remained silent as he walked toward the dining room. Upon entering, he noticed that his usual favorite breakfast had been prepared, but something was missing from the table. Being alone made him uncomfortable, and he had lost his appetite.
After sitting down, he found that he didn’t want to eat, taking only two bites before getting up and heading outside.
Sam glanced at the dining table and then followed Zachary, asking with concern, “Master, is it that you have a poor appetite, or is the food not to your liking?”
Zachary replied, “My wife is not at home.”
Sam: “…”
Sam then asked, “Young Master, where are you going?”
Zachary did not respond.
A few minutes later, he drove away alone, not allowing the bodyguards to follow him. However, Sam instructed Jim and another bodyguard to secretly follow in another car.
As Jim drove, he maintained a steady distance behind Zachary’s car, saying to his colleague in the passenger seat, “Let’s stay alert lately. No mistakes, and don’t shake the big car in front of the Young Master when it’s unnecessary.”
The colleague replied, “Anyone who tries to shake in front of the Young Master is asking for trouble. When the Young Mistress is home, we don’t have to worry. She can handle anything that comes up. But now that she’s away, I wish I could just disappear and hide far from sight.”
“The Young Master is used to having the Young Mistress around, and the Old Lady took her on a long trip without notice. The Young Master has nowhere to direct his frustration.”
“I wonder where the Young Master is headed,” the colleague commented.
Jim remarked, “The Young Master must be feeling quite upset about Ms. [insert name].”
“Liberty,” she said.
Her colleague responded with silence.
Zachary didn’t go to complain, but he did visit the All You Can Eat restaurant.
At that moment, Liberty was serving food. When she noticed her brother-in-law approaching, she asked, “Why are you free today?”
“Sister, I don’t work on Saturdays. I came to see if you need help,” he replied.
“It’s already six o’clock; time flies!” Liberty said. “I don’t need any help right now.”
Liberty rarely cooked breakfast for the guests herself, usually leaving it to the two younger shareholders.
There weren’t many customers at this hour since breakfast had ended.
Zachary settled down at a clean table and said, “Sister, could you please bring me a bowl of soup and noodles? I haven’t had breakfast yet, and I’m really hungry.”
“Okay,” she replied.
Liberty immediately went to prepare his meal, not inquiring about why he hadn’t eaten earlier.
Once she served him a bowl of noodles, Zachary took a bite and then set his chopsticks down.
“Is it not tasty?” Liberty asked.
“Sister, I can’t eat; I miss Seren too much,” he admitted.
He didn’t complain outright but rather expressed his sorrow, letting Liberty see that, without his wife at home, he had no appetite.
Serenity had taken their three-year-old son, Sonny, out. Sonny was still very attached to his mother and would eventually reach out to Liberty. As soon as Zachary hinted that he couldn’t eat, Liberty would urge Serenity to return for his sake.
Once that heartless girl, Serenity, came back, he would make sure to “teach” her a lesson that would keep her in bed for three days!
