“Tomorrow, we will return to Wiltspoon with Sonny.” Serenity decided to leave FC Manor with her nephew. Children are often forgetful, and she realized that once they returned to Wiltspoon, the two little ones wouldn’t be able to play together, and Sonny would quickly forget the secret about Titus.

Zachary looked at her and said, “If I agree, I fear you might think I want you to go back. If I refuse, I’m concerned that Sonny’s curiosity will lead him to ask Titus questions and possibly lift Titus’s clothes to take a look. Children are naturally very curious.”

“If I hadn’t accidentally discovered this, I would have preferred to stick to the original date.” Serenity was unaware that she had triggered Titus’s reaction. She knew the secret behind the tattoo on Titus’s back; there was no need to ask. The person who had tattooed that design must be a relative of Titus.

As Zachary pointed out, who would tattoo such a thing on a young child unless it was absolutely necessary?

“Don’t be too anxious; just enjoy two more days of play. There’s no need to be afraid,” Zachary reassured his beloved wife. “Perhaps this is part of a greater plan.”

Serenity felt it was too soon to leave, and Jane agreed with her. Tomorrow, Jane would take the children to Yves’s house to play with Iris, and if Serenity changed her mind last minute, it could raise suspicions.

“Then let’s enjoy two more days,” Serenity replied.

Zachary nodded, “Don’t overthink things; get to bed early.”

He sat beside his wife, embraced her, and then whispered softly, “In someone else’s home, I’ll let you be for now.”

Serenity quickly pushed him away and lay down next to Sonny.

Zachary smiled softly.

No more words were exchanged that night.

The night passed, and with the rising sun, a new day began.

…..

Jensburg.

Hayden was still lost in a dream when the ringing phone jolted her awake.

She was extremely irritated; Sundays were her days to rest and sleep in, as work usually kept her busy during the week.

Yet, someone had called her early in the morning.

Without even opening her eyes, she grabbed the phone, swiped it to the right out of habit, held it to her ear, and coldly said, “Hugh, you’d better have something important.”

The caller was either her parents or Hugh.

“Mr. Queen, it’s me.” Kevin’s voice came through.

Hayden’s eyes flew open, and she sat up.

Her voice, still cold but quieter, asked, “Mr. York? Is something wrong?”

Kevin had called her early in the morning on her home number, which most people didn’t know.

“I’m at Queen’s mansion. I thought you would return last night, so I came here early to wait for you. But now the sun is already high, and you’re still not here. I asked my aunt to find out what happened, and she gave me this mobile number to reach you,” Kevin explained how he obtained Hayden’s home number.

Hayden frowned. “Mr. York, you still haven’t told me what this is about.”

Kevin replied, “We agreed to go horseback riding today. Afterward, I’d like to treat you to dinner as a way to repay you for your help.”

Hayden remained silent, feeling unbothered by the matter.

Mr. York, why didn’t you just come to me directly?
