Kevin remarked, “If I pursue her openly, people will think I’m gay, and I’ll single-handedly be responsible for all the trending topics in Jensburg and Wiltspoon.”

Upon hearing this, Callum chuckled.

Grandma had arranged for Camryn to be Callum’s partner, but he still felt that she was biased and that the wife she chose for him was not the best match.

As he got to know Camryn and began to appreciate her, Callum started to feel that his grandmother truly cared for him, and he found himself drawn to Camryn’s character.

When everyone underestimated her, they were taken aback when she took action.

Callum believed that Camryn would be the perfect bride-to-be if he could restore her eyesight.

Compared to Hayden, the third grandson, their grandmother seemed to favor him more, which was amusing.

The women that Grandma arranged for them were somewhat challenging to pursue, and none were without flaws.

His sister-in-law was ideal, but her family’s financial situation was lacking. If she wanted to become the head wife of the York family one day, she would need to invest considerable time in her education and personal growth.

Did he not notice how busy his sister-in-law was, working tirelessly as if she were a donkey pulling a mill?

His oldest brother complained that his sister-in-law had neglected him due to her work commitments, leaving him feeling resentful.

Camryn had poor eyesight, and while Hayden was a suitable candidate, she had disguised herself as a man for over 20 years, making it very challenging for Kevin to win her over.

“Second brother!” Hearing Callum’s loud laughter, Kevin’s expression soured, and he couldn’t help but growl, “Can you at least wait until you hang up the phone before laughing? It’s painful to hear!”

Callum replied, “I just want to laugh. Let me hear you; if I can’t hear you, I won’t be happy even when I laugh. Who told you to wait until now to make a move?”

Calendar. It’s September; how long until the New Year? It took me over six months to take down Camryn, and yours is even more challenging to dismantle. You have every right to feel anxious.”

Kevin: “…”

Callum: “No, I need to hang up and laugh for a bit. If you think I’m enjoying your misfortunes, go talk to our older brother. If he has a better solution, do what he suggests.”

With that, Callum ended the call.

Kevin muttered, “Brother, what’s so funny? I’ve never laughed at you. If you want to find our older brother, go ahead. Don’t think I won’t; I’ll just reach out to my sister-in-law.”

Kevin really did call Zachary.

At that moment, Zachary was still at FC Manor and planned to fly back to Wiltspoon the next morning. Serenity and Old Mrs. York were staying at FC Manor for a couple more days before returning with Sonny.

When Kevin called, Zachary had just finished giving Sonny a bath. The little guy had played non-stop with Titus all day, going wild without a break at noon.

After dinner, Sonny began fishing.

Zachary had to help him bathe first, but while he was still in the tub, Sonny fell asleep, leaving Zachary stunned. He emerged from the bathroom with Sonny in his arms, and as the phone rang, he said to Serenity, “Honey, can you check who’s calling and answer it?”

Serenity nodded.

Zachary’s phone was on the bedside table. Serenity walked over, picked it up, and checked the caller ID before turning to Zachary. “It’s Kevin.”

“Answer it and see what he wants. But first, help Sonny get dressed.”
