It’s unfortunate that such a handsome man turned out to be a rogue.

In the next moment, Hayden angrily snatched the bouquet of flowers and threw it to the ground in front of Kevin, then she stepped on it with her foot.

“Mr. York, I accept it. Now, you can leave,” Hayden stated coldly.

Kevin gazed at the bouquet she had trampled and then at Hayden’s retreating figure, smiling softly to himself, “That’s enough; I’m a little intrigued.”

Initially, he had no interest in Hayden. However, with the time his grandmother had given him running out, he felt compelled to take action.

Though he remained disinterested in Hayden, her reactions to his pursuit sparked a sense of intrigue in him, finally awakening a hint of feeling.

Hugh also noticed the bouquet on the ground and walked over to it.

Kevin quickly shifted his embarrassed expression.

“Mr. York,” Hugh said as he bent down to pick up the bouquet that his sister had trampled. “Don’t be upset; my brother really doesn’t prefer the same sex. If you have an interest in men from my Queen family, I would be happy to play along.”

“It’s a shame about that beautiful bouquet. I usually buy flowers to boost my confidence; they always appreciate it and are quite moved by it,” Hugh continued. He then took the damaged bouquet to a nearby trash can and tossed it in.

As he walked back towards Kevin, Kevin turned away, looking despondent.

“Mr. York,” Hugh stepped forward, wrapping his arm around Kevin’s shoulders to comfort him. “You don’t need to look so lost. It’s just acting. Who do you want to accompany you for this? After all, you’re an actor. You’re so convincing that I can’t tell if you’re always acting or genuinely pursuing my sister.”

“Brother.”

Kevin: “I’m really pursuing your brother. Although the second young master Queen, you’re also quite handsome, you do fall a bit short compared to your brother. He’s so cool, and I admire his style.”

After saying this, Kevin removed Hugh’s hand from his shoulder. “Second young Master Queen, I’m serious about your brother.”

Hugh: “…”

Earlier at the company entrance, he had asked Kevin if he was using his sister to create a distraction in order to avoid the family’s pressure to marry. Kevin hadn’t denied it, and Hugh believed he was right.

Hayden called Zachary as soon as she entered the hotel. She felt her brother’s comments had some validity.

She wanted to inform Zachary so that he could intervene with Kevin. The York family had nine brothers, and their bond was strong.

Zachary would surely not want to see his third brother go astray.

Zachary answered Hayden’s call promptly.

“Mr. Queen,” he said gently, his tone masking the true intention behind the call, “please tell me, and I will take care of everything.”
