“At the beginning, when it came to your sister-in-law and me, you all said I needed to learn a lesson, and that I should never hide or deceive while pursuing my wife.”
Kevin: “…but now she is hiding and deceiving me. I understand, and when the time is right, I will make things clear to her.”
“That’s fine; you can figure it out on your own. I’m heading to the Wiltspoon Hotel to negotiate business with clients.” Zachary concluded the conversation and hung up the phone.
On his way to the hotel, he was not accompanied by his wife, but rather by his bodyguards.
Previously, Josh would have joined him, but now Josh has become a devoted husband, with Jasmine being the priority.
Before the end of the workday, Josh hurried home to spend time with his wife.
Zachary couldn’t help but send a few messages to Serenity, updating her on Kevin’s significant move and ensuring she stayed informed about the unfolding drama.
…
Dawson Group.
During off-hours, most employees went out to eat, while others preferred to order takeout.
Analia chose to stay in, thinking the weather was too hot, and opted for takeout.
However, her order took an unusually long time to arrive, leaving Analia feeling quite frustrated.
Just as she was about to call and check on the delivery, there was a knock at the door.
“Come in.”
She assumed her takeout had finally arrived, so she put her phone down.
The office door swung open.
She spotted Zachary standing there…
She froze.
Her gaze was fixed on the delivery person carrying two bags.
The delivery person approached her, apologizing, “Miss, I’m sorry for the delay; the roads were congested. I hope you’re not upset, and please don’t leave me a bad review.”
The two bags on Analia’s desk caught her attention. Noticing that she was still in a daze, his black eyes flickered a few times before returning to normal as he exclaimed, “Miss, Miss Dawson.”
Analia snapped back to reality.
To ground herself, she secretly pinched her thigh hard, wincing at the pain. If it hurts, then it’s not a dream.
She noticed Zachary—or rather, a man who appeared to be about the same age as Zachary. This man’s physique and gait were strikingly similar to Zachary’s. If she focused only on his back and figure, she might have mistaken him for Zachary. With a slightly deeper and colder voice, he could easily be compared to him.
When the delivery man entered earlier, Analia hadn’t looked at his face, and in her daze, she had felt as if it were Zachary. However, now that she was more alert and examined him closely, she realized she had been mistaken.
This man resembled Zachary in body shape, but not in facial features. Nonetheless, he was still quite handsome.
