Chapter 1941
Hayden’s bodyguards exited the vehicle.
They approached, but they were no match for Kevin.
Kevin’s status was different; unlike the admirers that had previously pursued the young master, they could only try to persuade him and couldn’t physically remove him.
“Mr. York,” one bodyguard said respectfully, “please move your car so that our two young masters can enter.”
Another bodyguard added politely, “Mr. York, please stop bothering our young master. He isn’t interested in men.”
If the young master were attracted to men, Kevin would stand a chance. However, it appeared that their young master had no interest in women either.
Having been by the young master’s side for many years, they had never witnessed him treating any girl kindly.
As if ignoring the bodyguards, Kevin knocked on Hayden’s car window, signaling her to either exit the vehicle or lower the window.
“Mr. York, Mr. York.”
Hugh hurried over, draping his arms around Kevin’s shoulders, and said, “Mr. York, please move your car first so we can all drive in and discuss things inside.”
Kevin continued to gaze at Hayden in the car.
Hayden was currently quite annoyed with Kevin.
The favorable impression she initially had of him had completely evaporated today.
She cursed the rogue in her mind a thousand times.
The elders of the warlords remained indifferent.
She recalled her complaints to Zachary, who had made it clear he wouldn’t interfere in his cousins’ personal matters unless they sought his assistance.
Hayden thought to herself: Perhaps Zachary is deliberately targeting Kevin.
After taking a few deep breaths, Hayden opened the car door and stepped out.
As soon as she exited the car, she extended her right hand toward Kevin. Kevin was momentarily taken aback, then smiled and reached out to take Hayden’s hand. However, she swiftly slapped his large hand away with a backhand. He gazed at her with innocent eyes, puzzled by her actions. Did she not want him to hold her hand?
“Car key,” Hayden said in a low voice.
“Oh, right,” Kevin replied, coming back to reality. While he rummaged for the car keys in his pocket, he added with a grin, “I thought you wanted me to hold your hand and walk into the house just now.”
Hayden regarded him with a serious expression. Kevin, undeterred, remarked, “The car key is still in the car.”
Without hesitation, Hayden instructed a bodyguard, “Please move Mr. York’s car.” She didn’t have time to linger with Kevin.
A bodyguard promptly stepped forward, entered Kevin’s car, started the engine, and moved it aside, clearing the gate. Hearing the commotion, the butler emerged from the house, spotted the two young masters at the door, and hurriedly opened the villa’s entrance.
“Mr. Queen, please accept this bouquet of flowers for now. The flowers I arranged for delivery will definitely arrive tomorrow morning. Once they do, I will ensure they reach you while they’re still fresh and vibrant,” the butler said.
Hayden replied coldly, “Mr. York, how many times must I tell you that I don’t like flowers—especially not ones from you? I also don’t like you. I’m a normal person, so please stop following me.”
