At first glance, Kathryn and Liberty, Kevin’s sister-in-law’s sister, appeared similar, but a closer look revealed they did not resemble each other. However, compared to Liberty, Kathryn increasingly looked more like her. If Kevin weren’t aware that his sister-in-law Serenity has only one sister, Liberty, he might have mistakenly thought Kathryn was Serenity’s other sister.

Serenity and Liberty were not particularly alike; Liberty took after her mother, while Serenity was a blend of both her parents’ strengths. She bore a resemblance to her mother but mostly favored her father. Kevin couldn’t help but wonder if his sister-in-law’s family background was not clear enough.

It’s not unusual for two unrelated people to look alike, but since Kathryn and Serenity shared some similarities, it raised suspicions. Were they related? Kevin speculated that Elisa and Serenity were cousins, yet they did not share any resemblance. If they did, Elisa would have likely found Serenity suspicious upon their first meeting.

Just then, Hayden and Kathryn turned around, and it was Hayden who faced Kevin. When she looked at him, Kevin raised his glass and smiled broadly. Hayden immediately averted her gaze, having grown weary of what she considered “this piece of brown sugar.” Were all the boys raised by the York family like this?

As the song concluded, the dancers abruptly stopped. Hayden released Kathryn, and Kevin promptly approached her. “Hayden, are you tired? Thirsty? Would you like me to get you a glass of water?” Kevin’s words to Hayden were rather forward. Both Donald and his wife referred to their daughter as Hayden, and Kevin followed suit. Given that Hayden and Kevin were destined to be husband and wife, it was acceptable for him to be familiar with her.

Hayden’s attractive face…

The atmosphere changed instantly. She replied coldly, “Mr. York, please refer to me as Mr. Queen.” Typically, only her family called her ‘Hayden.’

“You’re called Hayden, and I’m certain I addressed you correctly. Do you have another nickname? If so, I’d like to use it in the future. You are very special to me, and I hope to reciprocate that sentiment. I want something meaningful.”

“Hayden, you can call me Kevin. Of course, if you’re willing to call me ‘My Love,’ I would be even happier.”

Hayden was so infuriated by Kevin’s audacity that she struggled to control her temper. She wanted nothing more than to silence him!

Listening to Kevin’s bold words, Kathryn pursed her lips and smiled. She thought that if Hayden were truly a woman, she would likely succumb to Kevin’s charms within a week. This Young Master York was articulate, attractive, and came from a respectable family. Kathryn wondered how long Young Master Queen could withstand his relentless advances. Would the third Young Master York ultimately lead her astray?

It would be a shame if both men ended up together, but that was none of Kathryn’s concern. She and Hayden wouldn’t have a deep connection, as Hayden had clearly rejected her. Hayden admired her but had no intention of marrying her.

Without a glimmer of hope, Kathryn refused to indulge in those feelings any longer. She approached love rationally; even for a man she genuinely liked, she had the ability to walk away when she realized there was no future.

Hayden turned to leave Kevin behind.

“Hayden, where are you going? Wait for me!” Kevin called out.
