“Husband, make sure to rest early when you get home. I’ll be back shortly,” Serenity told her husband.
Zachary pretended to be wronged, saying, “Wife, I almost felt neglected by you. You didn’t come home early to comfort and keep me company, and it hurt my heart.”
A man who cared for him took advantage of his feelings, hoping to turn him into a playboy.
He felt unjustly treated.
What he needed was his wife’s presence and comfort.
Serenity smiled and replied, “That’s alright; I’ll take Sonny back tomorrow night. Grandma won’t be coming with us.”
Zachary remarked, “Even though Grandma is older, she still spends all day flying around. Running here and there doesn’t suit her; if she were even ten years younger, she’d be unstoppable.”
Serenity said, “Grandma mentioned that there are too many pigs in her family, and she needs to find cabbage for them.”
Zachary: “…”
He realized he was the big pig in Grandma’s eyes!
And the cabbage she found was meant for him!
Zachary asked, “Can’t you come back tomorrow morning?”
“I’ve made plans with Jane to take the kids to the zoo. Sonny is so excited. If I tell him we’re not going, he’ll be really disappointed. Going back tomorrow morning is still quite early,” Serenity explained.
Zachary pouted and said, “You always prioritize other men over me and don’t take my feelings into account. When Sonny grows up and marries, he’ll be someone else’s man too. You won’t care about him as much. It’s great that you help care for other men.”
Serenity smiled, “Your jealousy is even more intense than sauerkraut!”
Zachary replied, “I’m just jealous. As long as you treat anyone else well, I’ll feel that way. It doesn’t matter if the other man is an adult or a child; if he’s not me, I’ll be jealous and it’ll sting.”
Serenity: “You’re so sour that your teeth must be sour too, making it impossible for you to eat tofu.”
Zachary: “I don’t eat tofu; I’d rather eat you.”
Serenity smiled and playfully admonished him: “Don’t say that, especially since Sonny is still with me.”
Zachary felt a pang of jealousy again.
Zachary: “I’ll come to FC Manor to pick you up tomorrow evening.”
Serenity didn’t decline his offer.
Serenity: “Alright, I’ll hang up now and take Sonny to bed.”
Zachary: “My wife sleeps with Sonny instead of me. I’m feeling sore and even more sour.”
Serenity: “…”
She quickly ended the call to avoid hearing any more of his complaints.
After their conversation, Zachary reached out to Josh again.
In short, Zachary was not in a good mood that evening.
In contrast to the upset eldest brother, Kevin was having a restless night.
At dawn, Kevin emerged from his drowsiness and walked to the window. The Fortress Hotel, towering over 20 floors, housed his presidential suite on the top floor. Standing by the window, he enjoyed a panoramic view of the bustling city below.
After a few minutes, Kevin turned and made his way to the bathroom.
Twenty minutes later,
A refreshed Kevin exited the presidential suite.
“Mr. York.”
The manager, holding a bouquet of flowers and several bags, stood at the door waiting for Kevin.
“Good morning, Manager Dax,” Kevin greeted with a smile.
