Hayden’s eyes flickered as she asked him, “What do you mean by that? Do your sister-in-law and sister resemble Kathryn? Is your sister-in-law an adopted sibling?”

Kevin replied, “My sister-in-law has only one older sister, Liberty. She doesn’t have a biological sister, but she does have a cousin, who is quite different from Sister Liberty. I find it strange how people I don’t know can look so similar, so I wanted to ask if there are any children from the Farrell family living elsewhere, not recently, but from a few years ago.”

“My sister-in-law and her sister cannot be children of the Farrell family living elsewhere. I know the Hunt family very well,” she responded.

“However, my sister-in-law’s late mother was an orphan. She was placed in an orphanage at a young age and was later adopted. Unfortunately, after her adoptive parents had their own children, they passed her on to others, and she changed hands several times.”

“As a result, Mrs. Stone invested a lot of effort in searching for her younger sister. It took decades, but she eventually met Sonny, who helped her find my sister-in-law and sister. Sonny is my sister-in-law’s nephew, and they share a striking resemblance.”

Hayden then asked, “So you suspect that your sister-in-law’s mother might be from the Farrell family? The last head of the Farrell family was the elder sister of the current head, who had two daughters that went missing decades ago.”

Upon hearing this, Kevin sensed there was more to the story and quickly inquired further.

Hayden, not holding back, shared everything she knew about the Farrell family’s history.

Once Kevin finished listening, he immediately pulled out his mobile phone and called his mother. When she answered, he asked, “Mom, what’s Mrs. Stone’s last name?”

“What’s her last name?” Why are you suddenly asking this? What relevance does her last name have for you? You seem to be doing well with your wife in Jensburg, so spare me your excuses.”

Kevin replied, “Mom, I’m trying to pursue my wife, but it’s not easy to chase after your future daughter-in-law.”

Hayden, listening from the other side, was left speechless.

Kevin’s mother was aware of what he had been up to in Jensburg. Surprisingly, she tacitly agreed and even encouraged him to pursue his wife properly.

“Mom, please tell me Mrs. Stone’s last name.”

“Mrs. Stone’s surname is Farrell (Fisher). Not many people ask her about her last name. Why are you suddenly interested?”

Mrs. York was suspicious and puzzled by her son’s question.

Kevin said, “It’s alright, Mom. I’ll hang up first.”

“Don’t hang up just yet. Remember, both your aunt and second aunt have daughters-in-law, but I don’t. You need to cheer me up by bringing home a daughter-in-law soon. You said you and your second brother would get a picture from Grandma together. He’s engaged, and you’re still single!”

Kevin was articulate, but he couldn’t compare to Callum.

Callum was engaged, while her own son had yet to make any progress.

Mrs. York reminded him, “Kevin, there are only a few months left for Grandma to give you her blessing. If you don’t step up, you won’t be around for New Year’s.”

Kevin replied, “I understand, Mom. Please stop pressuring me; I know what I’m doing.”

Wasn’t he already trying to catch up with his second brother?

The eldest brother couldn’t quite keep pace, so he could only follow in his second brother’s footsteps, hoping he might get married before him.

Hayden desperately wanted to grab Kevin’s phone and voice her complaints to Mrs. York. After hearing the…

In a conversation between a mother and her son, she patiently endured the silence without uttering a word. Soon after, Kevin ended the call, casually placed his mobile phone on the desk, and said to Hayden, “I can’t bring myself to contact my mother. Every time I do, she insists on discussing marriage, and it’s really overwhelming.”
