“My mother and aunt are biological sisters, and now the youngest is in Jensburg. I learned about a large family that values its daughters. The former head of this family was murdered by her sister, leading to the deaths of her in-laws and other family members.

The head of the family had two daughters who vanished decades ago, and the circumstances of their lives and deaths remain a mystery. My mother is somehow connected to this situation.”

Jasmine stared wide-eyed and exclaimed in astonishment, “Wow, that’s so convoluted.”

She had to admit that her friend’s mother was truly a resilient person. If she had truly belonged to the Farrell family, it would have been like being born with a silver spoon; however, she did not enjoy that privilege and lost her family at a very young age.

She and her older sister lived in an orphanage before being adopted, but they struggled to find stability. They were given away multiple times by different adoptive parents and were not taken in by the Howden family until they were around seven or eight years old.

Later, she married into the Hunt family, bore two daughters, and dealt with her peculiar in-laws. Fortunately, her husband treated her well, and her daughters were sensible and caring. It was a kind of happiness that such a small life could sustain.

Unexpectedly, tragedy struck when the couple was involved in a car accident, resulting in both of their deaths. Most of the compensation from the accident was claimed by her husband’s family, leaving her life full of hardship and her two daughters suffering for over ten years.

Serenity could never have imagined that her mother’s fate would be so tumultuous.

She picked up her phone and said to her friend, “Jasmine, check the store; I’m heading to my aunt’s house now.”

Jasmine replied, “Go ahead.”

“Drive slowly ahead. Whether it’s true or not, you can take your time to inquire. It’s merely an investigation, and clarity can always be achieved. I believe Zachary will ask Josh for assistance with the inquiry. Even if the situation is true, as Zachary stated, it is best to leave this matter to your aunt, who is the one truly affected by it. I trust she can handle it well.”

Jasmine had heard many stories about Mrs. Stone’s youth. If Mrs. Stone were indeed the eldest daughter of the previous head of the Farrell family, she could seek justice for her parents and other family members. However, there are suspicions that the previous head of the Farrell family was killed by the current family head. Is there any evidence to support this?

There was evidence, but it had long been destroyed by the current Matriarch. Decades have passed, and even if the Bucham family offered their assistance, it might be impossible to find any evidence now. Unless someone with knowledge of the events is still alive. Given the madness of Matriarch Farrell, could she have spared the lives of those who knew the truth?

It seems unlikely.

Serenity replied, “I understand, Jasmine. Thank you for your efforts. I’ll take my leave now.”

“It’s alright. Josh will come by at noon; you can speak with your aunt then,” Jasmine assured her.

Serenity grabbed her car keys and quickly exited the bookstore.

Twenty minutes later, she arrived at the Stone mansion. Just as Elisa was about to leave, she spotted Serenity and got out of the car to greet her.

“Serenity!” Elisa called out.

Serenity parked the car, stepped out, and asked, “Are you heading out?”

“Yes, I was planning to go to the bookstore to look for you and Jasmine, but then I saw you here,” Elisa replied.

Noticing that Serenity had some gifts with her, she remarked, “Did you buy nutritional supplements for my mother again?”

“When I get home later, my mother will tell me again. And more.”

Serenity said, “I just bought two boxes of pork nuggets for my aunt. Everyone can enjoy them. Let my cousin have more.”

Elisa smiled and added, “My sister-in-law feels nauseous just looking at the pork nuggets. She vomited after eating them.”
