The two engaged in conversation for a while before Mr. Stone and Clive returned. Upon seeing them, Elisa and Serenity also entered the house. However, Serenity soon left the gathering, and Zachary called her. After departing from the Stone villa, Serenity made her way to the York Corporation.

At that moment, Zachary had just finished a meeting and returned to his office from the conference room. As soon as he settled into his chair, Serenity knocked on the door and entered.

“Wife,” he greeted her.

Seeing Serenity arrive, Zachary stood and walked around his desk to greet her.

Serenity asked, “You called me and asked me to come to the company. Is there something urgent? I inquired over the phone, but you didn’t mention anything.”

She had rushed over, worried because Zachary had asked her to come without explaining why.

Zachary led her to the sofa, poured her a glass of warm water, and brought over some snacks. With a smile, he said, “It’s nothing urgent; I just wanted to have lunch with you. It will be ready soon, so I called you early to come and wait for me.”

Serenity shot him a glare.

She had thought there was an emergency, but he had simply wanted her to join him for a meal.

“Auntie’s house is prepared for dinner. She thought I would stay to eat and made many of my favorite dishes. When you called and asked me to come over without any explanation, I hurried here, thinking something serious had happened.” Serenity playfully slapped his arm, adding with a laugh, “You scared me to death!”

Zachary embraced her, nuzzling her face affectionately. “Having lunch with your husband is a significant occasion too. Food is essential, and sharing a meal is always important.”

“Big event.”

Serenity: “…”

“Honey, our first wedding anniversary is coming up soon. What gift do you want?” Zachary embraced her tightly, savoring the warmth of her in his arms. In that moment, he felt as though he possessed the entire world.

“I can’t think of what I’m missing, so you can surprise me with something I don’t even know I want. Isn’t it almost here? After our anniversary, we’ll need to prepare for our wedding.”

Zachary: “It hasn’t arrived yet, but it’s not far off. It’s less than a month away. I’ll think about it, but I won’t reveal the gift just yet; I want to surprise you.”

Serenity laughed, “What kind of surprise do you have in mind?”

The gifts he typically gave her were jewelry, designer clothing or bags, luxury cars, or a lavish house.

Regardless of what he chose, she knew she would love it dearly.

She also needed to consider what gift to prepare for him.

It seemed that her gifts were often similar, lacking originality. Luckily, Zachary was easy to please; as long as she had a gift for him, he would be delighted and wouldn’t mind the repetition.

Zachary lightly pinched her cheek, “You should be punished for underestimating your husband.”

Then he playfully covered her mouth, insisting on a passionate kiss before releasing her.

“At the end of this month, we need to go to FC Manor for Ben’s twins’ 100-day celebration.”

Serenity nodded, “I know. Grandma is still at FC Manor and doesn’t want to come back.”

Grandma May was truly fond of little Avah, but whenever she mentioned leaving, she found it hard to part with her. In the end, Grandma May shamelessly decided to stay a few extra days.
