After the assistant finished wrapping the bouquet of roses, she handed it to Serenity.

Serenity paid, took the bouquet, thanked her, and said, “You’re busy, so I’ll send a bouquet to my husband first. I’ve upset him, and I need to make it right.”

The assistant smiled and replied, “Young Mistress, go quickly.”

Men in the York family require a bit of coaxing.

After all, their boss, Camryn, often had to soothe the Second Young Master York.

They frequently overheard the boss complaining privately about how the big man sometimes acted like a little woman, with a very small mind.

Serenity left Spring Blossoms and headed to the York Corporation.

As she approached the York Corporation, she spotted Camryn.

A car was parked next to Camryn, and a man wearing sunglasses and a black mask stood beside her, seemingly engaged in conversation.

Moments later, Camryn smiled and allowed the man to assist her towards the car, obviously helping her get inside.

Suddenly, Camryn shook off the man’s hand, turned around, and attempted to leave.

The man struck her on the back of the neck, and Camryn fell unconscious.

Upon witnessing this, Serenity quickly pressed the accelerator, and her car screeched to a halt in front of the vehicle, the tires grinding against the pavement.

The occupants of the car and the man pushing Camryn noticed her immediately.

As Serenity’s car came to a stop, the man jumped out and rushed over, kicking the masked assailant.

Serenity’s kick sent the man stumbling to the side.

She hurriedly dragged Camryn out of the car.

The masked man in the car, also wearing sunglasses, quickly jumped into the driver’s seat, attempting to flee.

in front of his vehicle, and he couldn’t drive straight away, so he slowed down slightly. This gave Serenity an opportunity to pull Camryn out of the car.

The man who had been kicked aside by Serenity stood up, rushed a few steps toward her, and attempted to punch her. However, Serenity retaliated with another powerful kick, sending him sprawling to the side once more.

Upon realizing it was Serenity, the man quickly got up and fled.

Everyone knew that the eldest mistress of the York family was skilled in combat, and that the second miss of the Newman family had fallen victim to Serenity because she underestimated her. However, they were unaware of just how proficient Serenity was at fighting and kicking.

Serenity was still concerned about Camryn, who had been knocked unconscious, and couldn’t pursue the two attackers—one of whom escaped in a car while the other ran away and quickly got into a vehicle to flee.

She quickly took out her phone and called Callum.

Callum answered promptly.

“Sister-in-law,” he greeted respectfully over the phone.

“Callum, come out quickly, I’m near the company—Camryn has been attacked!”

“What? I’ll head out right away!” Callum exclaimed.

Upon hearing that his fiancée had been attacked near the company, Callum jumped up, navigated around his desk, and rushed outside.

Just earlier, Camryn had sent Callum a bouquet of flowers, and he had mentioned that he would take her home, but she insisted she could manage on her own.

On the route from Spring Blossoms to York Corporation, Callum had considered that Camryn was indeed capable of traveling independently.

All she needed to do was count her steps, walk to the bus stop outside, and wait for the bus.

When taking the bus, she would need to ask the person waiting next to her which bus it was.

Callum believed his fiancée was now fully capable of coming and going on her own.

He felt relieved to allow her to return to the store alone, but he did not anticipate that Camryn would be attacked near the company.
