Hugh continued, “Brother, why didn’t your phone pick up my call?”
Hayden replied, “D*mn it, Kevin! I had it on silent.”
After scolding Kevin, Hayden turned to his younger brother and asked, “How can you use the hotel’s internal phone from home?”
“I’m at the hotel, at the front desk. York’s Brown Candy is here too. We came to pick you up for lunch. By the way, you and York’s Brown Candy are trending again on Jensburg. If you’re interested, you can check it out.”
Hayden immediately hung up the phone. After putting down the receiver, she sat up in bed, grabbed her phone, turned off the mute, and switched it to ringtone.
Then, she went to look at Jensburg’s trending searches.
She was indeed trending again.
The photo was taken last night when she went for a walk with Kevin.
Those paparazzi were really something. The two of them left the hotel through a secret passage. It was already dark, and the streets were empty. The paparazzi even managed to capture a picture of them together.
The report claimed that she and Kevin sneaked out for a late-night date without even bringing bodyguards.
It suggested that she might have been ensnared by Kevin but then shifted focus to their conflicts. It stated that she maintained a cold demeanor the entire time, showing a poor attitude towards Kevin, as if they were arguing.
It also mentioned that perhaps she hadn’t been captured by Kevin, but rather that she was so entangled with him that she had to take advantage of the night to talk to him, which resulted in her bad attitude and sour expression.
After reading the article, Hayden sighed in relief.
The paparazzi captured her and Kevin but didn’t dare to get too close, so they couldn’t hear the details of their conversation.
The conversation between her and Kevin left them to rely solely on speculation to report the gossip news. Meanwhile, Hayden couldn’t understand why the paparazzi continued to focus on her and Kevin when they seemingly had nothing to report. Had they ever witnessed two men in love?
It was all Kevin’s doing; if it weren’t for him, she wouldn’t be in this position. In the past, she often made headlines, whether it was about the number of admirers she had or the outrageous things those admirers did for her. However, those stories rarely made it to the trending searches. Since Kevin publicly pursued her, she had become a frequent topic of interest.
Hayden was aware that everyone was eager to see the outcome of her relationship with Kevin.
In the rest area on the first floor, Hugh and Kevin sat closely together on a sofa, their heads bent over something they were examining. Shortly after, a hotel employee entered, carrying two bags filled with disposable lunch boxes. This employee was not from the Greenrest Hotel but rather from the Fortress Hotel diagonally across the street.
Upon entering, the employee scanned the room and, spotting Kevin on the sofa, approached him directly. “Boss York,” he said respectfully as he reached Kevin. He handed over the two bags and added, “You requested these to be packed early, and I’ve brought them to you.”
Kevin stood up, accepted the bags, and nodded. “Thank you, you can return to work now.” The hotel employee departed quickly.
Just after he left, Hayden appeared on the first floor, flanked by several bodyguards. With their presence, she instantly became the center of attention, drawing the gaze of everyone in the vicinity.
