“My brother is here.”

Hugh wanted to remind Kevin, who was already awake and had walked forward with two bags in hand.

Hugh muttered, “Your eyes are sharp, and your movements are quick.”

No wonder Kevin had the courage to pursue his sister, and why she seemed to tolerate it.

As Hayden was entangled with Kevin, others speculated about how long the two would last, but Hugh sensed that his sister was encouraging Kevin’s advances.

Who was his sister? How could such a strong person not manage Kevin?

Clearly, she admired Kevin, pretending to be helplessly caught up in his attention while allowing him to continue pursuing her.

He kept these thoughts to himself, knowing that if he voiced them, his sister would surely retaliate.

When Hayden noticed Kevin approaching, she tensed up.

Kevin came closer, looked at her, and smiled, saying, “Aren’t you tired of sticking to two marbles every day?”

Hayden shot him a glare.

Hayden replied, “People put gold on their faces, but you’ve plastered marbles on yours.”

Kevin responded, “You must be hungry. I had someone bring you breakfast to eat in the car. Let’s go; Uncle and Auntie are still waiting for us to come home for lunch.”

Kevin reached for Hayden’s hand, but she pulled away.

Hayden remained silent and didn’t take the breakfast. Surrounded by bodyguards, she marched towards the hotel exit.

Hugh called out to him.

“Brother!” Hugh shouted, following in Hayden’s footsteps.

“Brother, I didn’t expect you to be hungry. Mr. York thought of it and had someone pack breakfast for you early. I’ll help him confirm that it was just delivered and that it’s from Fortress.”

“Hotel.”

Hayden remained silent as she walked with purpose, soon leaving the hotel with the bodyguards trailing behind her. Nearby, entertainment reporters lurked but refrained from taking pictures of her siblings; they preferred capturing moments of Hayden and Kevin together.

Before long, Hayden entered her car. As the bodyguard was about to close the door, Kevin rushed over, exclaiming, “Wait a minute!” The bodyguard hesitated momentarily, giving Kevin the chance to swiftly jump into Hayden’s car.

Hayden felt an urge to kick him out but stopped herself at the last moment. Kevin settled beside her and handed over the two bags of breakfast he had packed. “Eat something first; don’t let yourself get hungry. You can put it in your car early, and I’ll get out right away,” he said.

Hayden glanced at him, then at the bags, and after a brief silence, she reached out to take them. “Thanks.”

The feeling of being cared for—thoughtful and cherished—was surprisingly delightful and made her heart flutter.

“Make sure to eat it while it’s hot; it won’t taste good cold,” Kevin advised before opening the door and stepping out.

As Kevin exited the car, Hugh smiled and asked, “Did my brother kick you out?”

Kevin replied, “Your brother is willing to drive me away? I came here on my own. I need to drive my car back. Just give your brother the breakfast. If I rely on him, he’ll argue with me. He hasn’t eaten a thing and is starving; I’m the one who feels bad for him.”

Despite Hayden not yet having embraced her identity as a woman, Kevin still sided with Hugh in front of everyone.

and regarded Hayden as a man. Hugh patted Kevin on the shoulder and, smiling, said, “Mr. York, due to your consideration for my brother, I will offer you my support. Let’s go!” Kevin replied with a smile, “Thank you, I will do my best.”
