Chapter 210

Dressed, Zachary remained in his room for a long time before finally emerging. He thought, ‘This is my house. Why should I be afraid of Serenity?’ When he stepped out, he found Serenity was nowhere in sight. The entire house was silent, and the broken glass from the previous night had not been cleaned. The honey water that had spilled on the floor had attracted numerous ants, and Zachary was baffled by their sudden appearance. They covered the puddle densely. He first checked the kitchen but found neither Serenity nor anything to eat. She was also absent from the balcony. At that moment, he realized she must have gone out, possibly to see Shawn again. Zachary’s expression darkened and grew cold. If Serenity could ignore him, he could do the same. Still seething with anger, he grabbed a broom to clean up the glass shards, dispatching the mound of ants in the process. Afterward, he took out a mop to wipe the floor. Once he finished, Zachary picked up his phone and car keys and headed out the door. As soon as he stepped outside, he called his bodyguards, instructing them to wait for him downstairs.

“Sir.” Upon seeing Zachary descend, the bodyguards approached to greet him. He remained silent and walked directly to his Rolls-Royce parked below. Once inside the car, he instructed coldly, “Take me back to Regent Residences.” The driver responded respectfully and quickly started the engine.

Sitting in the passenger seat, Jim turned to his boss. “If you have something to say, speak up!” he urged. “Sir, the missus left very early this morning and hasn’t returned since.” Zachary remained indifferent and replied coldly, “In the future, you don’t need to inform me about her whereabouts or activities!” Jim was left speechless, wondering if the boss and his wife had had an argument.
