Although Kevin had planned everything long ago and waited for Hayden to take the bait, he felt uncertain.

After all, Hayden had lived as a man for over 20 years. When she finally removed her mask and confronted the reality of being a woman, Kevin wondered how long it would take her to reconcile this change mentally.

Kevin expected Hayden to be watching him swim all night.

He waited for a long time, but she still didn’t appear.

“Could it be that you changed your mind?” Kevin murmured to himself as he stood up, ready to head to the locker room.

Just then, the locker room door swung open.

Hayden timidly stepped out, arms crossed over her chest.

Seeing her like that, Kevin burst out laughing.

“I thought you had fallen asleep in there! I was just about to check on you when you came out.” He smiled and added, “Hayden, where’s your self-confidence? You seem so shy, like a turtle hiding its head.”

Hayden ignored him, still holding her arms across her chest, but she no longer seemed as anxious or withdrawn.

She wasn’t accustomed to this new situation.

Carefully approaching the edge of the pool, she dove headfirst into the water. As she submerged, she released her arms from around herself.

After not swimming for quite some time, Hayden dove back into the water. She accidentally swallowed some water and coughed a few times.

Kevin stood by the pool, grinning as he asked, “Are you alright?”

Hayden chose to ignore him.

Even though she hadn’t swum in a while, instinct kicked in, and she managed to swim half a lap. Feeling fatigued, she quickly swam to the pool’s edge and climbed out to sit on the side.

“You should warm up before getting in; otherwise, you might cramp up,” Kevin advised her.

Hayden was silent for a moment before saying, “I haven’t been swimming in a long time, and I always feel tired afterward.”

“If you want to swim in the future, come to me. I promise you’ll be able to enjoy the refreshing water. Once you’re in, don’t you feel incredibly comfortable?” Kevin asked, as he sat down next to her and tilted his head to look at her.

Hayden quickly crossed her arms over her chest again.

With a grin, Kevin puffed out his chest and playfully remarked, “I think I can measure up to you, so why hide it?”

After his comment, Hayden, embarrassed and angry, kicked him into the pool.

Kevin grabbed her ankle and pulled her in after him.

Plop!

Suddenly submerged, Hayden instinctively struggled, reacting like someone who was drowning.

Fortunately, she adapted quickly.

Kevin splashed the water vigorously, sending droplets flying in all directions, hitting Hayden in the face and head. Not to be outdone, she fought back.

The two leaned against the edge of the pool, splashing water at each other and engaging in a playful water fight.

After a while, Kevin chuckled and said, “Alright, alright, I admit defeat! We’re here to swim, not to have a water fight.”

With that, he swam away.

Only then did Hayden stop.

Having not swum in a long time, she finally let go of her inhibitions and spent an hour joyfully enjoying the swimming pool.
