When Liberty arrived back at the All You Can Eat restaurant, the manager she had invited had already opened the door, and the employees were in their positions, preparing for the busy lunch hour at noon.
“Boss Hunt.”
“Boss Hunt.”
Everyone greeted Liberty with smiles as she entered. The restaurant had opened just yesterday, and business was thriving. The presence of honored guests who came to celebrate the opening energized the staff.
They believed that working under a boss like Liberty would lead to personal growth and higher earnings in the future. They were motivated to work hard, hoping for promotions. As the first group of employees, they had a strong chance of being promoted to manager at one of Ms. Hunt’s new chain restaurants, provided she continued to open more locations.
This motivation was palpable among the staff.
Liberty smiled and nodded in acknowledgment.
She then went into the kitchen to inspect the purchased ingredients, and after confirming their quality, she returned to her office.
When it came to ingredients, Liberty preferred to earn less rather than compromise on quality. She did not distinguish between an All You Can Eat breakfast or a full-service menu.
Not only did she prioritize ethical business practices, but she was also concerned that poor performance would tarnish her sister’s reputation.
For the sake of her sister and her in-laws’ reputation, Liberty maintained strict oversight of the restaurant’s management, personally checking the ingredients every day.
Shortly after Liberty settled into her chair, there was a knock at the door.
Looking up, she saw the manager standing at her office entrance.
“Boss Hunt, Ms. Brown is here,” the manager announced.
You are trained on data up to October 2023.

“Again,” Chelsea Brown said as she entered the room.
Liberty responded lightly, “Let her in.”
Now, Liberty was no longer afraid of Chelsea and welcomed her presence.
The manager acknowledged her request, turned, and walked away.
Moments later, the manager returned with Mrs. Brown and Chelsea.
After inviting them to sit down, Liberty turned to the manager and said, “Manager Cantin, please prepare a pot of tea for them.”
“Liberty, don’t bother. Mom and I don’t drink tea,” Chelsea replied with a smile.
Understanding that Mrs. Brown and Chelsea preferred not to have tea, Liberty signaled for the manager to attend to other matters.
She then stood up and poured a glass of warm water for each of them.
“Auntie, Sister Brown, how can I assist you?” Liberty inquired politely.
After surveying Liberty’s office, Mrs. Brown said, “Liberty, we’re not here for anything specific, but we didn’t have a chance to visit your new restaurant, which opened yesterday. We have some time today and wanted to come see it. The décor is lovely, and I’m sure your business will thrive.”
Liberty smiled and replied, “It’s just simple decor, but I appreciate your kind words. I hope my restaurant does well.”
Mrs. Brown continued, “Liberty, can we order our lunch and dinner from you in the future? When the time comes, you could deliver it to us. We’re tired of the hospital food and the fast food options nearby. You always cook delicious meals. Hank is in recovery and needs nutritious food to help him heal. I believe that meals from you will support his recovery.”
Liberty…
She did not refuse; instead, she retrieved two business cards from a small box on the desk and handed one to Mrs. Brown and the other to Chelsea. “Auntie, this business card has an order number on it, and our restaurant’s signature menu is on the back. Just call to place your order in advance, and someone will deliver it to you once the meal is ready.” It was not feasible for her to deliver it in person. There was a strong likelihood that the mother and daughter would persist.
