“Mr. Bucham.” Julian had brought along two bodyguards to serve as drivers. When they noticed the young master exiting, they greeted him. Following Julian’s prior instructions, they addressed him only as Mr. Bucham to protect the young master’s identity and prevent alarming his future wife.
The bodyguards perceived the young master as arrogant, believing that the future young mistress would possess the courage to face any challenges ahead.
“Of course he wouldn’t be intimidated by the young master’s status,” they thought.
“Yeah,” Julian replied with a soft hum, nodding before explaining to Kiera, “My car can’t fit so many people, so I brought in two drivers. We’ll take three cars to avoid crowding.”
Kiera expressed her gratitude, saying, “Thank you, Mr. Bucham. You are very considerate.”
Julian smiled and responded, “It’s no trouble at all. Ms. Caron, you’re not afraid of complications; even if you didn’t know me and saved my life, I would still arrange for a car for you. It’s just a small favor. There’s no need for such formalities.”
Kiera smiled back, saying, “Alright, let’s refrain from excessive thanks; I’m not accustomed to such formalities.”
She appreciated cheerful people.
After watching the children board their respective cars, Kiera followed Julian to his vehicle.
Julian kindly opened the car door for Kiera. She instinctively wanted to thank him but recalled her earlier comment. Instead, she smiled at Julian without uttering any more polite words of gratitude.
Once Kiera had fastened her seatbelt, Julian entered the car, quickly started the engine, and departed from Wiltspoon Hotel.
During the drive, Julian enthusiastically pointed out the interesting attractions in Wiltspoon to Kiera.
Touched by his efforts, Kiera exclaimed in disbelief, “I can only stay in Wiltspoon for two or three…”
few photos?”
Kiera replied, “Sure, why not?”
After stepping out of the car, she marveled at the vibrant sea of flowers stretching before her. Julian joined her, sharing, “The York family cultivates these fields. We have a self-sufficient approach, ensuring we eat healthy.”
As Kiera snapped pictures of the flowers, Julian continued, “Those hills over there produce seasonal fruits, which we sell to various hotels under the York Corporation. Fresh fruit is essential for our guests.”
Kiera nodded, impressed. “It must be rewarding to see such a bountiful harvest.”
Julian smiled, “Indeed, but we can rarely consume everything ourselves. Much of it goes to the hotels.”
He then asked, “Are you ready to head up to the manor?”
“Absolutely!” Kiera replied, feeling excited about the visit.
After a brief drive, they arrived at Wildridge Manor, the grandeur of the estate taking her breath away.
“Look?”
