Hayden looked at him and asked, “Are you going to Jensburg after your older brother’s wedding?”

Kevin replied, “You’re in Jensburg, so of course I’m going there too, unless you decide to follow me back to Wiltspoon.”

Hayden remarked, “…you really are quite idle.”

“After I graduated, I helped my older brother manage the family business. He said I was picky and good at cooking, so he arranged for me to take over the catering division. He believed that if the food at the Wiltspoon Hotel didn’t meet my standards, he wouldn’t be able to win over customers’ appetites.

It has been nearly ten years since I took charge of the catering branch under the York Corporation. In my position, I’m as stable as an old dog. Even when I’m not in Wiltspoon, the major hotels continue to operate smoothly. We have general managers and several vice presidents who handle daily affairs, and I only need to step in for significant issues.

Even if I spend an extended period in Jensburg, I won’t be impacted. For me, the most important thing is whether I can stay home for the New Year this year and avoid being kicked out by Grandma.

Hayden recalled Kevin mentioning that if he couldn’t catch up with her, he might be kicked out by Grandma and not allowed to celebrate the New Year at home.

Curiously, she asked, “Is your grandma really going to throw you out and not let you come home for the New Year? She seems so kind and open-minded. I think she’s just trying to scare you because all of you are so filial that she feels justified in controlling your choices.”

Kevin, I’m not worried about upsetting you. I believe your grandma is a bit overbearing in how she manages your major life events. Marriage shouldn’t be forced; a twisted melon isn’t sweet. Yet, your grandma seems to have arranged wives for you during these significant moments, and they are all girls you…
