Camryn glanced at her mother-in-law, Rosella, who understood the unspoken message in her gaze. With a playful tap on her forehead, Rosella said, “Don’t look at me like that. Don’t tell me you think your body can’t adapt. Even if you can’t give birth, I wouldn’t think less of you. If I had, I would have stopped Callum from pursuing you long ago. I wouldn’t have allowed your relationship to reach this point. When I first met you, you seemed so unsure of yourself, and for ten years, your aunt Azalea (Evelyn) has taken you everywhere seeking medical advice, but nothing has alleviated your condition. As long as my son loves you, we will accept you for who you are, regardless of anything else. If you were a man and Callum loved you, we would still embrace you.”

Moved, Camryn replied, “Mom, thank you for showing me the warmth of family and maternal love.” Rosella loved her as if she were her own daughter. “My dear daughter-in-law, if I don’t care for you, who will? Camryn, don’t feel burdened. Trust Dr. Carden and trust us,” Rosella reassured her. Camryn nodded vigorously, feeling a surge of belief.

The three women chatted as they walked back to the main house. Callum was waiting at the door.

“Where’s Grandma?” Camryn asked him upon seeing him there. She had visited Wildridge Manor several times and knew that Callum and Grandma May shared a close bond; they often stayed in the house talking whenever she was home.

“She’ll be back soon. She asked me to start cooking,” Callum replied, taking her hand with a smile. “I feel like I just came home.”

“Back to work as a coolie.” “If you need assistance, just ask.” Serenity echoed her brother-in-law’s words: “Your eldest brother is also free at home; you can ask him for help.” “Your father is also available. Your uncles are idle too. When you need someone, go to them. Let’s prepare some tea, snacks, and fruit, and chat.” Naturally, these words came from Rosella. She was straightforward and unbothered when directing Callum. Grandma May had put in a lot of effort training these boys, and the results were impressive. As long as their sons were at home, the parents only needed to request whatever they required. With their sons available, nothing would trouble these boys. They could even sew their own clothes. Callum: “…” He only mentioned one thing and ended up with many helpers, worried that they might blame him. “Mom, Camryn and I will take things to my third uncle first. We’ll be back shortly.” Rosella replied, “Alright, go ahead.”
