“Kathryn, please don’t be like this. I fell in love with you at first sight, and I found myself falling for you all over again. We can have a nice conversation.” Leo’s gaze finally landed on the collar of Kathryn’s suit. This woman had grown up in the countryside; although she was healthy, that did not detract from her beauty. She possessed an exquisite temperament, truly deserving of being the biological daughter of the Farrell family. Her nobility was inherent, not diminished by her upbringing. Additionally, Kathryn had an alluring figure that attracted men. Leo observed her with a mix of desire and longing, his heart racing and mouth watering. He imagined throwing Kathryn down and sharing a passionate moment in bed, convinced that she would inevitably fall deeply in love with him.
With that thought, Leo became forward and reached out to touch Kathryn’s face. She swiftly grabbed his hand and pulled hard, causing him to stumble forward. He opened his arms, intending to embrace her, but Kathryn executed a perfect over-the-shoulder throw. The seemingly delicate Kathryn effortlessly tossed the grown man over her shoulder. As Leo hit the ground hard, he felt as if his waist might break. His arms and legs went numb, and he struggled to comprehend what had just occurred.
Despite being thrown down, Kathryn showed no mercy; she raised her foot and kicked him. Wearing high heels, her pointed heels delivered a painful blow. Leo wanted to fight back, but he lost his chance as Kathryn’s kick struck him before he could react. The pain was so intense that he could only howl in agony. She kicked him relentlessly—his face, mouth, hands, and body—stepping hard on the back of his hand, making him scream like a slaughtered pig.
“Don’t fight, please… Miss Farrell, I know I was wrong; just don’t!”
“Fight.” Leo pleaded for mercy. “Holden cheated, Leo!” It was rumored that Kathryn was weak and could easily be intimidated. Leo thought he could bully her and completely overpower her with his charm. If Kathryn lost her virginity to him, she would have no choice but to marry him. How could this woman be considered weak now? Where was she vulnerable? She was fiercer than a chili pepper!
Kathryn paused, noticing Leo’s bruised face, swollen nose, and the blood at the corners of his mouth from a kick. She knelt down, smiling, and asked, “Mr. Giguere, do you still want to talk to me?”
Leo replied, “No. Let’s stop talking.” He couldn’t handle such a fierce woman.
“Then why are you still lying here? Are you waiting for me to help you? Do you want to call for emergency assistance? Should I cover your medical expenses?”
Leo quickly responded, “No, no, no need. I’ll leave right away.”
“Get out!” Kathryn shouted, standing over him. “Get as far away as you can. If you dare to bother me again, I’ll make sure to beat you every time I see you!”
Leo endured the pain coursing through his body. He hurriedly got up and ran to the elevator as if his life depended on it. He opened the elevator door and rushed inside, but then he quickly ran back out. Kathryn thought he was going to make another attempt, but Leo sprinted like the wind, snatching a bouquet of flowers before returning to the elevator with it clutched in his arms.
Even in his hurry, he couldn’t leave the flowers behind. How much did a bouquet cost? Leo was frugal! Was Holden really kind to her? Such a man wanted to blame her. Did he honestly think she was just a paper tiger? Leo fled the Farrell Group’s office building as if his life were at stake. When he burst out, he nearly…
I encountered Mr. Fraser, who was waiting at the door for Kathryn to finish work. Leo didn’t pause; he quickly got into his car and drove away from the Farrell Group.
