“My uncle usually has a good eye for people, but this time he misjudged Dalton. My uncle promoted him, and I have admired him for it. I even considered setting up a blind date between him and you. Who would have thought he would side with the blind woman?”

“Thanks to my uncle’s trust in him and his kindness, we had to treat Dalton with respect in the company, fearing he might harm us.”

“You’ve seen how our two families are currently faring, Carrie. We simply want to help you reclaim everything. If you lack straightforwardness, strength, and a justified reputation, we can only rely on you. Our best course of action now is to empower you.”

“We understand you have issues with Camryn, but right now we are at a disadvantage. You must endure for a while, swallow your pride, please her, admit your mistakes, and apologize to her.”

“Let’s go in and see the blind woman first,” Camryn said as she walked toward the security room at the entrance of Wildridge Manor.

The security guard noticed the three arriving in a taxi. After they stepped out, they gathered together, whispering and uncertain about what to say. After a brief conversation, they approached, already on guard against the newcomers.

The two on-duty security guards stepped out of the security room. As Carrie approached, one of them asked, “Who are you? Who are you looking for?”

Visitors to Wildridge Manor rarely arrive by taxi.

These three individuals were dressed in casual clothing and arrived by taxi. The two security guards assumed they were relatives and friends of one of the workers.

Pablo was concerned that if Carrie spoke up and alerted the security guard again, it might offend someone and give her the upper hand. While offering the security guard a cigarette, he said, “Brother security guard, we are the biological relatives of your second young lady-to-be. We are her cousins, and this lady, Miss Carrie, is the biological sister of your future second young mistress, the second young lady of the Newman family.”
