Callum had impressive abs, but when she touched him, he simply pushed her away. As he turned his face, she noticed he was smiling. Once he realized it was her, his expression changed drastically, and he moved quickly. Not only did he shove her away forcefully, but he also kicked her out of the kitchen. He yelled at her harshly, demanding she leave, and hurled everything he could find at her. Terrified, her face went pale, and her instinct was to flee for her life. Despite running as fast as she could, Callum hit her back multiple times with the dishes he threw, causing her immense pain. She stumbled out of the kitchen, feeling almost lifeless, and ran for a long distance before feeling safe enough to stop. After a considerable wait, she finally turned around, got into her car, and drove back to her rental to grab some medicine. Her back hurt so badly that she had no choice but to head to the hospital for treatment. After waiting in line, she had just come outside when she unexpectedly encountered Zachary and Serenity. Even without their bodyguard and while wearing masks and sunglasses, she recognized Serenity’s voice. Serenity was the person she despised the most, and her voice was unforgettable. “Serenity, Camryn, just wait for me; I will repay you for all the pain I’ve endured, and I will do it tenfold!” She had heard that Serenity was pregnant. Although the York family hadn’t made a public announcement, everyone speculated about her pregnancy when Serenity abstained from drinking at their wedding. Jealousy consumed Carrie, as Serenity seemed so fortunate. After leaving, Carrie also learned from her two aunts that Serenity hadn’t been pregnant long after her marriage and that she could not…

Everyone had children except for her. Now that Serenity was pregnant, it was difficult for Carrie to accept. If only she could find a way to make Serenity have an abortion—how wonderful that would be! And as for Camryn, if she could be prevented from having children for the rest of her life, even if Callum fell in love with her again, could he truly love a wife who couldn’t bear children? Would the elders of the York family allow Callum and Camryn to remain childless forever? Carrie suddenly had a preliminary plan for revenge. First, she needed to eliminate Serenity’s child. Second, she aimed to ensure Camryn could never have children again.

“Hahaha,” she laughed heartily at the thought of their fates, feeling as if she had already avenged herself. Her laughter drew suspicious glances from passersby. Realizing she was still in the hospital with people around, Carrie snapped, “What are you staring at? Have you never seen a beautiful woman?”

She quickly made her way to her car, determined to find Mrs. Janzen. Only Mrs. Janzen could assist her in executing her plans. Carrie dialed the number again, but to her dismay, it turned out not to belong to Mrs. Janzen. “What does this mean? Mrs. Janzen, you said you wanted to see my performance, but you gave me a wrong number. Now, when I try to reach you, I can’t!” Carrie muttered angrily to herself, feeling the urge to throw her phone.

She continued to berate Mrs. Janzen for being uninteresting and for deceiving her, filling her with hope only to let her down. While she was ranting, a cleaning lady approached and gently tapped on Carrie’s car window. Seeing the woman made Carrie furious.

Aunt. She promptly rolled down the car window. Without allowing the cleaning aunt a chance to respond, she began to scold her. The reprimand was especially harsh, and the cleaning aunt’s ancestors, spanning eighteen generations, were all acknowledged in the tirade.
