Liberty remarked, “How can I let you cook while I’m here? I’ll go help you. What you cook might not be delicious, but I guarantee that mine will be.”
Hayden glanced sideways at Kevin.
Kevin touched Hayden’s nose and smiled, saying, “What you make is delicious too.”
Liberty replied, “Then I’ll shamelessly indulge. I won’t interrupt you any longer. I’ll head downstairs to rest.”
With this, Liberty wisely gave the young couple some privacy.
Once back in her room, she settled onto the sofa. Just as she was about to respond to Duncan’s message, she heard a knock at the door.
“Who is it?” Liberty called out as she stood and walked over to open the door.
It was a hotel waiter.
Upon seeing her, the waiter smiled and said, “Is this Miss Liberty? Someone asked me to deliver this letter to you.”
He then handed an envelope to Liberty.
Gratefully, Liberty accepted the envelope and thanked the waiter.
Once back in her room, she opened the envelope with curiosity. Inside, she found a small note: **Books Chapters Are Daily Updated Join & Stay Updated For All Books Updates…**
The note contained a simple message: it included an address in Jensburg. Below the address was another line: “Miss Hunt, you will go alone; I will ensure your safety; and don’t let anyone find out.”
The note was signed in the lower right corner: Fraser.
What?
Fraser?
Liberty didn’t recall this first name but suspected it was actually a surname.
Who could be named Fraser…
She vaguely remembered someone named Fraser connected to Kathryn. On the day her All You Can Eat restaurant opened, Kathryn had arranged for Mr. Fraser to send her a
A congratulatory gift. Kathryn wanted to see her, but she couldn’t let anyone know. Liberty glanced at the time and immediately retrieved a box of individually wrapped black masks from her suitcase. She opened the box and took out two masks, a pair of sunglasses, a wig, and some simple, plain clothes. After disguising herself, she grabbed her mobile phone and the letter, then quietly exited the room.
Fortunately, upon her arrival in Jensburg, Kevin promptly arranged for two cars for her and the bodyguards. He also handed her the car keys. Liberty took the elevator directly to the hotel’s underground parking lot. Kevin had informed her that the two cars designated for her were parked in Area D of the lot, providing her with the license plate numbers as well.
All she needed to do was locate a vehicle. However, the underground parking lot was vast, filled with numerous cars. It took Liberty almost ten minutes to find one of the vehicles Kevin had set aside for her. A second car was parked nearby as well. Ultimately, she decided to drive the bodyguard’s car.
It was crucial for her to remain unnoticed, so she kept a low profile. Kathryn was aware of her arrival, and Matriarch Farrell likely knew too. Who could say whether Matriarch Farrell might turn against her? It was safer to stay under the radar.
