The client and Hayden were initially scheduled to meet tonight; however, Hayden did not return to the office in the afternoon and had a social event planned for the evening. As a result, she asked Hugh to step in. Hugh, Hayden’s twin brother, excelled in many areas, but there were some challenges. While Hayden was always in the spotlight, Hugh often found himself in the background.
Hugh remarked, “It’s not my brother who is in trouble; it’s my brother who causes the trouble, and I’m the one who ends up dealing with it.”
Just as Hugh finished speaking, his cell phone rang again. He addressed everyone, saying, “Look, there’s another call. Why don’t they contact my parents? Why do they keep calling me? My brother and I have been siblings for over 20 years, yet we’ve never shared a bed or bathed together, so how am I supposed to know whether my brother is a boy or a girl? As far back as I can remember, I’ve always called him brother.”
When Hugh learned that Hayden was actually his sister, he was already an adult, and his parents informed him. However, he never sought verification.
His parents stated that Hayden was his sister, and he accepted that as truth.
Upon reflection, he realized his parents would not lie to him.
“Is Mr. Queen a boy or a girl?”
Hugh clarified, “My brother attended the banquet tonight wearing an evening dress. She looked stunning in women’s clothing, but everyone was taken aback. They kept asking me to confirm whether she’s my brother or sister.”
He continued, “They also questioned my brother about whether he wore women’s clothing because of Kevin and if he was pretending to be a woman. Well, my brother must have dressed that way for Kevin. In the past, Kevin wore women’s outfits for my brother. It’s really not unusual for them to fall in love; after all, they share common interests.”
After Hugh finished speaking, he called his mother, unaware that her phone was turned off. He then tried his father’s mobile number, only to find that it was also off.
Hugh commented, “It’s no surprise; everyone is trying to reach me. It seems my parents anticipated this.”
When another call came in, Hugh quickly ended the call. He then turned off his phone to avoid it blowing up with notifications.
After shutting off his phone, Hugh placed it back in his trouser pocket and said apologetically to the client, “Sorry about that. Let’s continue.”
“Vice President Queen, I have no objections. I recognize the strength of your company and feel confident about this partnership. When can we sign the contract?”

The client had intended to continue chatting, but after hearing Hayden’s gossip, he lost interest in gossiping and chose to proceed with the collaboration. By doing so, he could continue to hear the latest rumors.

Hugh was momentarily taken aback before smiling and saying, “We brought the contract with us. You can sign it now.”
The client readily agreed.
After both parties signed the contract, Hugh still found it hard to believe.
During the recent negotiation, he had sensed the client’s hesitation and attempts to lower the price. It was unexpected that they would sign the contract immediately.
Even if he was a bit slow on the uptake, he understood the reason behind it.
He felt somewhat dazed.
