Serenity smiled and said, “Don’t mention Sonny. He wanted to stay in bed this morning and couldn’t get up. Sister, Jensburg must be colder. I saw many people sharing snow-related videos on Moments. Wiltspoon won’t experience any snowfall, but it will still get colder here as the cold air moves south after the snowfall up north.”

Wiltspoon was experiencing its coldest weather, with nighttime temperatures dropping to about 8 degrees Celsius, and daytime highs reaching only 10 degrees Celsius. While this may not seem cold to northerners, it felt extremely chilly for the residents of Wiltspoon, who were accustomed to warmer weather.

Liberty said, “Make sure he wears two more layers. The winter clothes at the kindergarten aren’t very thick.”

Sonny was just over three years old and was no longer with her. Liberty was lying when she claimed she wasn’t worried.

Serenity reassured her, saying, “Sister, don’t worry, I won’t let Sonny get cold. You should also take care of your health in Jensburg; wear warmer clothes so you don’t catch a cold.”

Liberty replied, “Seren, I’m not a child, and I can take care of myself. Did you go back to the company today? The temperature in Wiltspoon has dropped over the past few days; it’s getting a bit colder. If you like, you can stay home to raise the baby for now and not return to work yet. Zachary can support us, and we don’t need you to work to contribute to the family.”

Liberty was so busy that she really wanted to encourage Serenity to stay at home with the baby.

Serenity responded, “It’s fine. There isn’t much for me to do at our company. I’ll just go back and sit around. Later, I plan to visit the bookstore. Josh has been on leave for the past two days, and I want to give Jasmine some time to rest. There’s no need for me to return to the store; I’ll just watch over it while the couple takes a break.”

Zachary informed his wife that he couldn’t accompany her to hot pot, despite her desire to go. Liberty spoke briefly, but Serenity remained steadfast in her decision and chose not to respond further.

Having previously cared for Sonny at home, Liberty gradually lost touch with the outside world. After giving birth, she became more focused on Sonny and neglected her own well-being, which led to her gaining excess weight and losing her figure.

Unlike Hank, her brother-in-law Zachary was different, but her unsuccessful marriage had always served as a cautionary tale for Serenity, who was determined to avoid repeating her past mistakes.

Regardless, Serenity was always surrounded by bodyguards, so there was no need for concern about her safety. She cherished the child growing inside her more than anyone else and would ensure it was well cared for. Additionally, Elisa was assisting with company management, and the bookstore work was light, involving mainly cash collection and relaxation. Consequently, after Liberty’s comments, she made no further attempts to persuade Serenity.

“Sister, how is the Farrell family faring now?” Serenity inquired with genuine concern.

“On the surface, everything appears calm. Holden was hospitalized the night of the incident, and Matriarch Farrell has restricted visitors, so the extent of Holden’s injuries remains unknown to the public. However, I’ve heard that Holden intends to protect his marriage and will not be seeking a divorce.

That night, Shiloh was expelled from the Farrell family mansion and is reportedly staying at Marco’s private villa. I’ve arranged for someone to inform Erika; it’s crucial that she takes action against Shiloh.”

Liberty came not only to…

Liberty aimed to develop Jensburg while simultaneously creating chaos within the Farrell household. The more disorganized the Farrell family became, the more fragmented its members were. Only then, as the descendant of the previous family head, would she have an opportunity to regain power.

During a particularly difficult time for the Farrell family, when tensions were high and emotions were running low, she spoke with some of the older relatives. This allowed her to uncover valuable information that helped her seek justice for her grandparents.

Serenity said, “Sister, please be mindful of your safety.”

“Don’t worry, I will be fine. As long as you and Sonny are safe in Wiltspoon, I have nothing to fear. Seren, when you break free, I will be your supporter from that moment on.”

Liberty often felt that Serenity was overshadowed by the wealth and status of the York family, as their family background was not as impressive. All her sisters-in-law were affluent women. Driven by this, she was determined to grow stronger and become a pillar of support for Serenity and Sonny.
