-Julian paused his work and glanced up at his secretary.

The secretary approached with a bouquet of flowers.

Julian instructed, “Please place them on the coffee table over there.”

The secretary replied, “Sure.”

She turned and walked over, carefully setting the bouquet on the coffee table. Standing up straight, she looked at Julian and asked, “Mr. Bucham, do you have any other instructions?”

Julian responded, “Not for now; please go back to your work.”

The secretary acknowledged, “Alright, then I will get back to it.”

Noticing Julian focus on his paperwork, she exited the office.

Julian completed his tasks as quickly as possible, then shut his laptop and grabbed his mobile phone and car keys. He had recently purchased a new car to make it easier to take Kiera out for drives.

As he walked over, Julian picked up the bouquet of roses. After inspecting it for a moment, he realized it was even more beautiful than the one he had randomly bought for Elisa earlier.

Next time, he would choose flowers in person.

Was simply buying a bouquet enough?

Julian recalled how Josh frequently sent flowers and jewelry to Jasmine.

However, it wouldn’t be appropriate for him to give jewelry to Kiera, as she would likely refuse it. He also considered gifting her a mansion and a luxury car, but he would need to ensure Kiera was open to receiving such gifts.

“Let’s test the waters first,” Julian muttered to himself.

He thought about sending a bouquet of flowers initially to gauge Kiera’s reaction. If she accepted it joyfully, he would gradually enhance the gifts over time.

Julian exited the office, holding a bouquet of flowers.

The secretary called out, “Mr. Bucham.”

Julian replied, “I’m off work. Don’t call me at night unless the sky is falling.”

He was determined not to let work interfere with his relationship with Kiera.

Regardless of how crucial his job was, it paled in comparison to his personal life. He was different from others; while most people could easily move on from a breakup, if he lost Kiera, he would likely remain single for life.

“Okay,” the secretary responded. She was well aware that Julian would spend his evenings with Kiera. She had been fortunate enough to see their interactions and noted Julian’s obvious affection for Kiera, though it appeared she did not reciprocate those feelings.

Knowing that Julian had specifically asked her to purchase flowers indicated that he was planning to confess his feelings to Kiera.

Feeling happy, Julian left the office.

A few minutes later, he drove out of the company parking lot and went to buy barbecue for Kiera and the children. He ordered a large quantity of barbecue, picked up numerous snacks for the kids, and finished by buying several boxes of chrysanthemum tea.

Mrs. Caron often worried that the children might get upset after eating barbecue, so she had suggested several boxes of herbal tea for everyone.

Of course, they had to keep this from Mrs. Caron.

They were well aware that he and Kiera could be the talk of the town.

It was quite chilly outside.

Yonsburg was unlike Wiltspoon. The lunar calendar marked the eleventh month. Wiltspoon had experienced a few cold days, but the weather had warmed up. During the day, people simply wore autumn clothing, with some even in short sleeves. In contrast, Yonsburg’s residents bundled up like rice dumplings.

Inside the office, Julian felt relatively warm. However, when he stepped outside and got out of the car to buy items for the children, he instinctively shrank back as the cold north wind blew.
